I loved bitterballen when in the NL, so I've made a bunch of kroket/bitterballen recently (in the UK) I used a beef and a mushroom stock for the broth and just used minced beef that I had left over I absolutely love them, I'm going to be enormous if I continue making them though.

Hello! Indonesian with dutch descent here. I was looking for some authentic Kroket recipes when i found your channel. I just surprised that it is not made from potatoes like my late mother and grandmother used to make. This is more like bitterbalen to us (but then i also saw your bitterbalen video 😅). And also we usually enjoy our Kroket with slurry sweet and sour sambal, or fresh chilies. This made me realized how all the recipes has traveled in history and modified throughout time 😀 Thanks for your recipes 😀😀🙏🏻
