Don't underestimate water damage!
Especially in an 80-year-old Japanese house. I hired a plumber who was recommended by a good friend of mine, but the experience turned out to be anything but pleasing. In the end, we had to part ways, and the job was not done. It was time to take things into our own hands after checking if it's DIY-able!
Do you think the plumber did everything right? What would you have done after receiving complaints from your neighbors? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you for following along!

I was glued to the Anton channel for almost a year because I thought his energy to complete home remodeling was amazing, and I was infected not with Covid_19 corona but with his DIY fever. I’ve finished remodeling my house and an abandoned house in Kyoto at last though carpenters did all the work. My throat is rattled, my arms are covered with blue bruises, and my legs are too tired to stand up now. After only the exterior work was completed, the neighborhood said as if it was a new house. Tateyama was covered with snow when construction began to turn into autumn leaves now. I enjoy spending time in various ways and I'm looking forward to seeing next your subject and book. Good Luck.

Honestly as a plumber I love that you don't want to touch the plumbing at all. It sucks you kinda got burned by that guy though. Your totally right in getting a pro out to work on your stuff. There's a lot of hack DIY stuff out there to avoid in this trade!

Awesome Anton! I'm very interested in the regulations for DIY and operating as a rental property because I plan to do this in 2 years. Keep up the great work!

You cannot touch the meter. That’s common sense everywhere in the world, that meter with the concrete box and lid was installed by the water company and they own it. If you wanna plug a tube directly to the meter you have to call them

As an English Speaker AND an experienced English Teacher in the Japanese School System. PLEASE stop pronouncing the word “plumbing” as plum-BING! The B in plumbing is silent. It’s pronounced as plum-ing, or better yet, plum-ming (don’t elongate the “m”, just say the word quickly). Good channel, love the work you’ve done! Gambate!!!!
