This is heavy. I am the widow of a man who had Tom ‘a mindset. We built his empire without losing me and our kids. He was the leader God gave us. It’s been 7 years since his transition to eternity but we are still thriving from him being in our lives. My challenge is to pass the legacy to the grandchildren.

Based on some of Tom’s perspective regarding communication (in my own words) is… it’s already hard enough to assure that what’s being verbally communicated is perceived the intended way. These days you got people expecting you to understand communication by way of gestures and such creating more confusion. 😣 🗝️ take away: if you’re testing him/her (and not communicating) you’re setting them up for failure.💥 True on so many levels. Yes! 👏🏽

This is proof you can learn from anyone. Religious or faith based differences shouldn't be a block to wisdom. God can use anyone or thing to teach us IF we're not closed to that idea. Honestly, it may do some people some good to see how unbelievers are living and thriving.... bc why are we struggling AND judgmental. We have the same opportunity and greater authority on our side to do great works for the Kingdom. I really enjoyed this couple very insightful

Psalms 1:1-6 Blessed is the man that walketh NOT in the counsel of the UnGodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own SOUL Or what shall a man give in exchange for his SOUL Seek ye the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added. Not the Things of this World, because it is fleeing. As a Believer, we shall seek the Kingdom of God, his ways, precepts and concepts. Do not be deceive by the enemy, by this world, the accolades, if you don't know God as your personal Savior, you have nothing, and if you Know God as your Savior you have EVERYTHING. I stopped watching when I saw he was not a Believer and prayed for him and everyone else that does not know God in the pardon of their sin. Be Blessed !!

I didn’t enjoy them and could never finish so I made sure they never showed up on my timeline again. So when I saw her on my favorite Podcast, I thought I would give this interview a try. I’m at 47mins in and I can’t do another minute. And to be honest, I only watched that long in my attempt to support Laterras. They may have money, and have acquired fame, but something about this doesn’t sit with my spirit. I don’t know what it is… but one thing I know about discernment is that you better listen.

This was a great interview, Laterras. I enjoyed Tom and Lisa because they demonstrated how to communicate effectively to learn your partner as well as holding each other accountable and being true to yourself as an individual. As far as them not believing in God, it is our responsibility as believers to pray for them, to intercede on their behalf as God leads you. So, plant seeds of prayer, send them words of encouragement and trust God for their increase to come into knowledge of Him and relationship with Him.

Such a great episode. Tom & Lisa are amazing. Been watching their content for years. Timestamp 1:22:37 when Lisa discusses the impact of Toxic Relationships was DEAD ON! Especially when she mentioned that she became toxic herself as a protective mechanism. Doing the heart work after the dissolution of a marriage/relationship are necessary because it can really leave last affects on a person. Lisa's indication about being in a toxic relationship at 16 is a reminder that these issues often begin early, sometimes even younger.. I'm glad she wants to work with 14 year old girls because it's so needed!

Every time I hear about Darwin’s theory of evolution I get offended and I don’t even try to open myself up to hear other people. Mostly because it came from a man who was racist (but I digress). Seeing Laterras navigate this conversation so well has helped me eat the meat 🍖 and spit out the bones 🦴. This has been such an honest and transparent interview about insecurities and how to work through it all in bad times and even good times. Removing expectations and materialistic ideologies and embracing what you need as a person to be truly yourself. Wooo 😅so many gems 💎 !!!

I too Laterras, found it worth taking notes for what impacted my life. Two things! I was just talking to someone about the difference of loss of a relationship you chose and the loss of a relationship believed to be prompted by God! In that, Tom addressed response of trauma predicted, when I shared it as preparation. Lisa touched on another discussion in my book that my confidence was beaten down by past abuse, yet with God, I reconnected to my confidence even stronger! Beautiful! I was thrown with the unbelief in God, but we (Believers) know that all things work together through Him - and He, our Lord, was definitely working! 😂❤
