@@tarikartiste349 tendons take a lot longer to thicken than muscles because they receive less blood flow than muscles. Working your tendons through their full range of motion and increasing the weight over time will build thick healthy tendons. Pumping the area full of blood after doing your heavy lifts is a good way to force blood into the tendons so they heal faster.

I had the opportunity this great man in Cincinnati when he did a seminar. A Very humble small giant of a man I say. The majority of people need to understand what physical stress to put on a particular part of the anatomy, especially the legs. Some of the exercises Tom is doing will cause great damage to one"s patellar tendons and joints. Some people are not anatomically suited for squats, therefore has to find the appropriate exercise to build leg mass! Remember, one size does not fit all!

@@Wzrdprado While there are folks that exist that should not start with the barbell back squat, it is normally just about load management for most people. If you cannot manage the bar, bodyweight and even assisted bodyweight squats exist to progress though. That said, unless you have a specific issue, barbell squats taken though full range of motion under manageable load are perfectly find for most folks.

To me guys that do tons and tons of sets is just insane to me. I use to lift and do 3 sets for every exercise done in my routine. Never more very seldom less. By doing this took me 3 years to get fairly ripped and fairly huge. 10 to 15 reps for every exercise? Nty

@@ironadversity2500 I used to always workout like that. 3 sets and that's it. Just recently increased my volume by at least double and I've never had better results. Obviously I've lowered my weight slightly to handle the volume and honestly I hate spending 45-60 minutes on just a single body part but I've never had muscle improvement like I do now. It's weird everybody works differently. I have to train like Jay Cutler - He has TONS of volume. Sucks but it is what it is lol

I’ll contend that earlier in his professional career, his other worldly lower body was out of proportion with his upper body. However, come 1981-and beyond - he had willed himself to develop a damn good upper body (great back as well). To the point where his overall proportions/ symmetry were not a weakness.
