Lots of us would drop a week’s (or a month’s) pay to see Tom but the fact he’s not taking the money- not since 2008; he either really hates touring or just can’t anymore

@@jackstraw262 He talked about it in an interview a few years back (like 10 ish years ago). He likes performing, but hates touring. He did it too much in his younger years/early career. He did say he'd like to have a residency type thing where he could perform and not have to do all the travel.

Huge shout out to Marc Ribot, he is unbelievable! What an impressive duo they were with Tom at that time. Real Gone is one of the best Tom Waits album and Marc has had a huge part in its greatness. He's a real genius.

Vow, how have not seen this before. Marc Ribot, "King of Romance", when they played in Stockholm c:a 1987. Saw the 1985 shows in Sweden as well - hate that your memory can't record pictures as well as cell phones. On the other hand, cell phones can't record memories.
