Yes there is also a hindi movie named 'Parineeta' which has Saif and Vidya in lead roles. It was the debut movie of Vidya Balan. Both the movies are very very different because the hindi one is an adaptation of the 1914 bengali novella of the same name by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Whereas this one is a modern day love story.

It is not stolen. Hindi Parineeta is based on Saratchandra Chattopadhay's novel Parineeta. It was a period film based on 60s or 70s Kolkata, and out and out commercial movie. Earlier Bengali version of Parineeta where actor Soumitra Chatterjee had acted were the best version out of all Hindi and Bengali version. This Bengali film is recent and has a different story. All the physical touch is imagined by the girl. Ritwik is giving turion to the girl.

First of all that hindi film "Parineeta" is a completely different other film & it's based on a bengali novel, this ones story has been written by Arnab Bhaumik & Priyanka. Direced by Raj Chakraborty not just only a popular director but one of the most successful bengali directors in recent times. Parineeta is a big blockbuster released in 2019. Although the film has such a brilliant actor like Ritwik Chaterjee but the movie was hugely appreciated for Subhashree's performance!! She was on another level with her acting. It's a very very special film for all of us & just a fact Bollywood has bought the rights of "Parineeta" !

There are three different films in with same name "Parineeta". Two are in hindi, first one was in 1953 and 2nd one was in 2005. The story of these two were adopted from a bengali novel "Parineeta", written by famous bengali writer Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay on 1914. The writer is arguably the most famous writer after Rabindranath Tagore in bengal. One is in bengali, which is an original story, released on 2019. You have reacted the song from this movie.
