Tomato fritters Greek Style

These tomato fritters Greek Style are a take on the specialty of Santorini called Tomatokeftedes. Made with fresh tomato, oregano, basil, mint and little pops of feta cheese. Crispy on the outside soft and fragrant in the middle. You can also dip them in a tzatziki or your favourite yogurt dip. They also make a perfect starter, simply add a little yogurt dip in a lettuce leaf and place the fritter inside the leaf. Perfect with an ouzo aperitif. Enjoy my Greek style tomato ball fritters.

We lived in Maroussi and had fresh herbs on our huge balcony you name we had it. It broke our hearts to leave, plus all those herbs. Boo hoo. From Greece to Germany. It's too damn cold in the winter for any herb garden. We soldier on.

Τhis is a favorite Hellenic dish especialy in south Hellas(mostly in islands) So it belongs to the Hellenic cusine mostly and secondly in Mediterranean.. We also in nothern Hellas have onion and pumkin fritters wich is delicious too..

Wow so perfect! I love cheese, it feels like 50% of my body is milk and the other half is veggie. And I love it, that's me. 'love that sensation! I can eat this everyday, well maybe another option for sandwich. Very light,comfortable and glowy feeling everyday. I love that combination of tomatoes and cheese. More of like herbal medicine (cleanse and detoxify). It's a healthy light meal.Thanks Joel!
