The incar footage was awesome, it's scary to think that hearing the engine still exclerating and the revs wasn't near the top end how fast can he go. You man meatballs need to be like water melons for this

@@Sanderly1820 The goal was a 300 mph car and so the crushed that goal. But I think they are near the limit of what that car can do aerodynamically. I think at that speed even the slightest cross wind is going to give the steering wheel a major jolt. I just talked to the driver today and they have already started fixing the car for next year.

Wow, that back end coming out multiple times at speed. Have always heard that driving on the salt can be like driving on ice. Driver has to have really quick reactions as this guy obviously does.

Wow. The video at 3:00 is a practical demonstration of traction-limited top speed. He can't go any faster because the drag of the car matches the maximum tractive effort available from the tires.

Very cool Tom. Man there is no way I would sit right next to an intercooler pressured and full of hot water (by the end of a long run). Those things do sometimes fail and that could be ugly.

Yeah good point on that Dan. But I think a lot of racers take a lot of risks for the sake of function in a race car. I have a good friend that races a Jet Car, and he sits right next to the Jet turbine. Think about how fast that is spinning right next to him, It is unreal.
