Thanks, Herwin! I tried to put a set together that would combine front and back arm swings without stopping. This way you can loop the moves continuously. :)))

Does any of this work come from Lohan or Lama Pai ?
Just do backwards for 20 minutes. Then feel the energy. Repeat on other side. Every day

The teachers in Beijing say to do 2000 each day front and back. That takes 3 hours. Most people these days won't put that amount of time into arm swings which are foundational to tongbei training, so this is an alternative. When students are more committed and have more time, they put the time into arm swings. Shun bei (or the forward arm swings) are just as important as the back because they are the basis for all the pi zhang or axing moves.

Nice! Many years ago I learned some #tongbeiquan #通臂拳 from Wang Dongfeng 王東風 in Beijing. Also some #qinna #擒拿 and drunken sword #醉劍. Later on he went to live and teach in Vienna. I guess he is retired now.
