Obviously we wouldn’t dive as deep into his persona and character had he never been boss, but another season with Jackie as boss, or Tony being on good terms with Junior as boss would have been nice to see. I love the distinctions between friends and "friends". Jackie, Sil and Tony are lifelong best friends on a personal level. But, the business comes first. Jackie gives Tony orders and Tony immediately says okay. Tony tells Sil to give him $3,000 from ripping off the tile from the construction site. Sil asks "is this a hanging offense?" He also says that he will have the rest of Tony's money later that day. Tony says, angrily, "I know you will." Christopher has a bad week with the gambling book and asks Paulie to give him some time to cover the difference, since they are friends. Paulie says "don't bring our friendship into it!" Imagine if today’s movies lighting were similar to : Jackie Brown ( 1997 ) Pulp Fiction ( 1994 ) Forrest Gump ( 1994 ) When Harry Met Sally ( 1989 ) Taxi Driver ( 1976 ) Casino ( 1995 ) Fargo ( 1996 ) Clueless ( 1995 ) Speed ( 1994 ) Cape Fear ( 1991 ) Unforgiven ( 1992 ) Crimson Tide ( 1995 ) Some of These movies are dark drama, and some of it are comedy and romance but that didn’t change the lighting and didn’t affect the story at all

When the show starts, he has been incarcerated for years and is being held at Springfield, where federal prisoners with medical issues go. So we can infer he is in poor health. Jackie being acting boss is a formality, as the old man is never shown to have any influence over the family at this point in time.

1:14 I think the position of Kings is actually of sacrifice, the seat only looks good from far away, the. view is different when you sit on the throne. you only do it if you want the credit, or you want some one to be proud of you for getting the credit, and with the credit comes the consequence. just like when Tony killed that guy in the college episode season 1, he was ex mafia that went around colleges doing lectures on being ex mafia, he wanted the credit even after relocating. Fbi always knew that would put a target on his head, and didn't care, hell, best ending to his story, to prove crime doesn't pay to those college kids. if all. you are getting is credit, then that means everyone else wants to leave you with the Blame

After seeing this new movie this scene hits different. Wonder if Junior didn't want Christopher moving up in the world because it would be more likely he'd discover who killed his father, and have the power to do something about it. He did seem to always have an axe to grind with Chrissy.
@villiannewyork2 жыл бұрын
Considering Paulie most likely did the hit I think he had a hard time looking after Chris because he probably felt some internal guilt
@KS-xk2so2 жыл бұрын
@@villiannewyork am I forgetting something from the movie? How do we know it was Paulie? If it wasn't shown to be him, I kind of doubt it was him for a couple reasons. First, Paulie was in Johnny's crew, not Juniors... Junior probably had his own guys for that. Second, Paulie has a giant mouth lol doubt it could've stayed secret like it did, and third, I doubt Junior got any kind of OK to kill Dickie, he was just mad that Dickie laughed at him falling... when you're killing a made guy off book like that, for such a petty reason, you don't use someone in the family.
