@Lucore Auto and LucoreRacing Tony should've just went with a Strange S60 complete rear end or a Moser M9 complete rear end and you would've had to do was bolt it in and he would have plenty of rear end for the rest of that car's life and he wouldn't ever have to worry about it again

Thanks Isaac we certainly have a ton of "The right tools" around here, just about every time we run into a challenge... if it needs a special tool, we usually end up with it in the big blue box 😉

We're almost done with all the install there's a lot to getting it all together, and it's an AWD setup so... FWD RWD AWD we can run them all. Fingers crossed looking at next week or so.

28 to 35 on the pinion depth shim always pretty close on a ford 8.8 I always set mine at 20 inch lbs on the pinion and if you can beat the carrier in with a dead blow the carrier pre load is just right

@@LucoreAuto I see. So it kind of goes along with the old oil pan theory... you don't want to find chunks, rods etc in there either. Makes sense, chunks coming out of rotating bits of the drivetrain is bad... and expensive.

Some times if you don't break anything, your not trying hard enough. Demolished third member and twisted axle. Tony apparently tried really hard. I have tried very hard to but have never broken a Ford 9" nodular iron with 31 spine axles, believe me as most of my muscle cars were manual transmission.
