Backroads from Nashville to the start of the Tail Of The Dragon is about 6 hours of great driving (3 or so by interstate). A round trip all backroads is always super fun. East Tennessee & the Carolina’s are great for small winding roads. Glad to hear you like the area. Loved the 986 content so far. Especially since I picked up an old ‘97 986 last fall. Great podcast as always guys!

Just so that you are aware. Google has changed its algorithm. This means that the new channels get promoted as a priority, then after a while the initial priority status is removed and the new channel is more difficult to find. I bring this up as your main channel and a few of my other favourite channels do not come up automatically when a new video is posted, despite my notification status. To this end it was not until you mentioned your main channel that I realised I had not been notified of new videos on your main channel for months. So now I have to search for specifically for your main channel. A number of KZbinrs have mentioned this.😊

You should’ve bought the clownshoe! I just bought one back in May and it’s been my daily driver. The Americanized “neutered” engine with 240hp isn’t so bad in a car that light and the trunk space is plentiful.

Instead of buying a 16k “hooptie” I thought Sam meant he was just trying to not lose 16k total. For example, if he bought a 50k used BMW M2 and sold it a month later he would definitely not lose 16k?! 12:43 The Montana plate hack for a 2002 boxster is a first but I get Sam is trying to save maximum dollars on the trip. I can pour some tea in the sea to that!

PS I’m going on a road trip soon as well to Eastern Canada & the US . . . . . . . . . Speaking about the crashes... this is why I always felt like the social media around cars that just get more and more insane is gonna lead to more and more people doing crazy shit. We have seen a massive uptick on young guys and some gals on motorbikes in recent years roaming around, infact I hear motorbikes racing outside right now where I am in Sweden as I type this out... they ride around doing wheelies, ride on side walks, jump stairs... in massive groups, Police cant stop them... and its just getting more crazy, similar to the take overs we have seen, also been growing and growing... Certain people on this platform promoting and doing US cross country record attempts these past few years... its so irresponsible and so many people just laugh and think who cares, its fun! Well, its fun until one of these cars doing 105 mph destroys your entire family. There was a massive crash here some years ago, some young people in a BMW that caused a pile up, lots of people lost their lives, one person was only found a day later because he had been ejected in to a near by field. All because one dude wanted to show off in his dad's BMW or something...

The whole "Red Bull being illegal" thing at the end is nonsense, the other teams have just caught up. Don't forget how quick Ferrari were in Australia & Monaco, or Lando in Miami/Imola. Yes RBR dominated the first two races, but since then all the top teams have been more or less with them. I don't think there's been any "illegal" parts being removed, we're three years into the new rules, its no surprise that McLaren/Merc/Ferrari have caught up

Not to take away from Oscar’s performance, but Lando has still been mostly out qualifying him on the whole. If Lando irons out his starts nobody would be questioning his ability.
