I have an aqua bag. I chose that one because i keep it outside in the back patio and it can withstand the elements, and is a good overall heavybag. If anyone is looking for a cheap aqua bag just look for boat buoys or bumpers. Its the same thing without the paint and much much cheaper.

@@nitogravelord8118 hmmm I'd look at your form. I notice at some gyms people throw upper cuts hurt there hands on a regular heavy bag. Lot of them don't tighten the fist and use wraps nicely on wrist to keep it in perfect form. If you don't, you can hurt your wrist . Seen pros do it too

I have 2 100 lb Ringside hanging heavy bags, a 60lb uppercut bag, a 65 lb Title Big Bang bag and a speed and double end bag. Believe it or not I use all of them because they all have different purposes for training but I do favor the 100 lb heavy bag for interval workouts. It’s heavy enough to give me some resistance but light enough that with a good hit or 2 it moves enough to help defensive technique and footwork.

@@Tony_Jeffries I am stuck between a 5 foot traditional bag weighing maybe 60-80lbs , or a 6 foot traditional bag weighing 120 pounds. I’m 6 ‘4 230lbs and my goal is to find that make believe perfect middle bag for me. I have power when I hit but at the same time it’s more important to keep my speed up because I have long arms and taller people usually are slower at swings, but at the same time I love that feeling of punching something that has some weight to it it keeps me motivated during training that’s why slip bag is difficult for me just bobbing and weaving gets boring. Tony has been my wingman for the past 10 months of boxing training, unknowingly to him... I'm stuck with whether to go for a 'wrecking ball' or 'traditional heavy bag' type of bag for home and what to prioritise. The wrecking ball allows for uppercuts and movement, whereas the heavy bag allows for body shots and less movement. I'm leaning towards the wrecking ball to focus on combinations (with uppercuts) and movement as I have power for days but slower than most. My Coach is not a fan of the aqua ball feel either, and kind wish there was a 'heavy' angle uppercut bag to solve for both Uppercuts and body shots. Anyway change my mind KZbin...

I got an old franklin bag its canvas and has about 100lbs on it and we hang it up in the shed especially the old way where you used hay bails you put your tape in it as a marking spot same for every bag it helps for the combinations and know where to hit it recommend for you beginner boxers to put some tape on the spots where you would usually hit in the body it helps focus and you know where to hit

Dont put an everlast sand bag outdoors, the bag itself could take it but all the water weight made it keep breaking stands and leak black liquid when i punched. If I could only choose one Id probably go with a 21” (23”?) water bag because you could still get upper cuts on that bag as well as good hooks & everything else & its softer on the joints. Plus it wont soak in rain water outside but Id recommend covering in a white garbage bag when not in use if you live in Fl Arz etc because the sun will destroy them fairly quick.
