This was like a couple of months before I was born. It's weird to think that from their perspective, they made the favorite music of someone who wasn't even born yet. Tool is just absolutely amazing, glad to be part from this experience.

I immediately started thinking the same thing about the hazy graininess of the video as well! Like its some pro-shot live video of a psychedelic band from the 60s. Obviously the visual art on the projector screens certainly aids in that aesthetic :) Adam definitely has a cool eye and ear for those nuances. And whomever filmed this deserves commendable praise as well. It's amazing what people can do when they're passionate about something.

@@rubaidaallen2764 discovered them in 1992 with Undertow , bought that album & than saw them were on Tour with Henry Rollins in European festivals from 1993 onwards . Could see them 4 times between 93 and 1996 - it was freaking awesome , mystical , raw , New , and direct like a swiss knife .

For when this was recorded (97 I’m guessing) it’s such an amazing quality on the audio. It’s funny how stuff that was recorded over he next 15 years wasn’t even this good. Hell its 2018 and people post “live” videos where the audio quality blows. Wish I would have seen tool in this era live.

@DrFHead Well that certainly wouldn't surprise me. I think Maynard is a very intelligent individual and surprisingly humble. If you are interested you may want to look up the Documentary/Movie called "Blood into Wine" He became interested in winemaking some years ago and decided to buy some land and try it. He is making Wine in AZ on a small scale. It's informative, funny and just a picture of the real MJK. He's a very likeable person outside of his music !

When they go back on tour, it is my deepest hope that this goes back into the back catalogue rotation. I've seen them play H, Aenima, 46&2, Stinkfist, and Pushit. But NEVER Eulogy. Funny thing is - I listened to and enjoyed Bill Hicks before the wrote the song.

I think its Bill hicks because hes on an alternate cover of aenima and the caption is "another dead hero" and maynard often expresses how much of an inspiration he was so I think that when he says "he had a voice that was strong and loud" hes referring to him

I personally do not echo his opinion but I like his music and that of A Perfect Circle and I believe everybody has a right to their own opinion even if I do not agree. I think it's a great song regardless. Maynard is known for his controversial subjects.
