Oh man...this takes me back. My very first concert ever was Tool. It was in 2002...I was 19 years old and had never been to a live show...ever. So, for my very first concert to be Tool...well, I had no idea what to expect. But, once the lights went down, the visuals started playing, a cloud of marijuana smoke rose from the crowd, and that deep drone started playing....I felt massively giddy, in awe, and almost anxious. It was such a powerful feeling. Spiritual in many ways...

Back when we use to sleep the night before outside the ticketmaster booth...or getting in line at 4am..haha..I guess I am officially old, I will never forget that tour tho, I was lucky enough to see them 4 times with Lateralus. Sadly I have never seen them again. Almost 20 years ago of this... and still my drum hero!

I had a local video store that served as a ticket master outlet. They would advertise who was all coming to the twin cities MN. I remember seeing the flyer to Tool 2001. The lady working would always try to get us the best seats for concerts and I got two for this tour. I had heard they were awesome live but had never experienced them myself. When I got to this show my mind was instantly blown away and I became a huge fan ever since. I wish the tickets were as easy to get unlike now a days with bits.

Easily one of Tool's best shows ever. I SO wish the band themselves had filmed shows back then....just so we could have HD quality. But still, this is wonderful enough. What a set list! Pretty much ideal. Sadly Pushit wasn't played, but hey...you can't really complain about a 2 hour show with a set list this packed with their best material. Why does literally every single The Grudge bootleg focus on every band member but Danny during the final drum solo. 10:56 - it's like a sick joke at this point. Every fucking bootleg is all like "oh wow gee adam's really bending that note" instead of "oh jesus fuck danny's opening up the ground and unleashing cthulhu and setting the sky on fire with the drums". All I want to see is the man play the best drum solo in the history of music.
