Tool has been a major part of my life for almost 30 years. This song evokes deep connection with yourself. I listen to this as a tool to ground myself, get reconnected with myself. There are other ways in which I achieve these, push it is one. You are top 1 or 2 on the list of reactors I watch. Keep up the amazing job.

i have to say, you have the absolute BEST responses to tool & what they offer...your reactions are what i think a band truly wants from the listener.

That end section where Maynard is in a place he doesn’t want to be...the call and response with Adams guitar is a conversation, I imagine Maynard telling the toxic person his fears and Adams response is the sweet gaslighting until it explodes in rage, then it calms and he finds the gap. In my opinion, this song saved me

I know other commenters have mentioned Tool being a part of their last 30 years, and I am one of those. This song, from the moment I first heard it, had such a profound effect on me. I didn't even realize how to avoid/recognize a caustic relationship in my 30"s without Maynard spelling it out like this.

The 'talking drum' you hear is an Indian tabla. Very cool sounding instrument, hard to play and counting in Indian music is kind of insane if you're not used to it.... haha. This is a guest appearance by Danny's former tabla teacher Aloke Dutta on this recording. You can also find some of his stuff on YT, just stunning what sounds come out of a tabla!

I love the feedback you give, especially on the Tool reactions. It shows that you’re truly taking in the music, that you genuinely enjoy and appreciate experiencing the songs. You’re not just doing it because it will generate views so you’re pretending to like it. I hate that. If you don’t like it, no need to fake it. I feel like too many other KZbinrs that do reactions are too scared to speak their minds if they don’t like something rather than upset the viewers. But I don’t see that at all with you, so I appreciate your content. Thanks for continuing to share it with us!

I pray to god that you get an opportunity to see them live if they’re still touring. It’s a “come to Jesus” experience They put sooooooo much emphasis on sounding exactly perfect live- until you see it first hand you’ll not understand where I’m going here. It’s just a very unique and special moment that will leave its thumbprint on your brain forever It’s like “did I really just see that? Did that actually happen?” Honestly, I don’t even consider it music anymore. It’s more of a tutorial on life and lessons you can take away from it. But it is genuinely refreshing to see you get animated when hearing it for the first listen because I remember how I was 30 years ago. It’s no different. Thank you for covering this one.
