Tool Review: Ryobi 40V String Trimmer

I like the Ryobi 40-volt string trimmer, and I like it in direct proportion to its price.
After a year of using it, here's what I discovered.
✅ It goes in the correct direction.
✅ Ryobi nailed balance.
✅ It is deliriously wonderful quiet-you could trim at midnight if you want.
✅ Power is aplenty.

This trimmer works surprisingly well., Is it Lawn Trailer ready? Nope. But it has serve3d me well for several seasons. Bump feed is tight.

Bump feed. No such thing as an auto refill to my knowledge.

would I be able to replace the head with an auto refill? If not what Ryobi trimmer would you recommend that has it?

@@BasicPurple that’s a great question I would like to know the answer to that as well. Theoretically, Ryobi should all use the same thread pitch trimmer, head bolt. I might have to call Ryobi and ask them that.

Just to let everyone know, when you by this trimmer for 179$ American here in 2023 you must then pay 219+ taxes just for a extra battery.

I did not know that. Batteries and taxes? Never heard of that.

Yeah it's gotta turn a quarter inch shaft and some string, no shit it works. The problem is the battery's overheating constantly and only lasting like a year if your doing more than you strip of the shared driveway. There junk.

It's lasted me several seasons. However, I went through a bunch of batteries on the way there.
