I was really starting to loose my shit on a high dose of LSD the other night, and I remembered this video...I just laid down with my headphones and let it take me away for an hour and by the end, I had gone through an intense introspective journey while the lyrics moved on my emotions and pulled at dark corners in my mind I confronted and reconciled. By the end, I felt utterly cleansed. When Maynard left the stage at the end of 10,000 days, I wept. Very special show....Raw emotions..

I need some mdma and tool in my life. Lateralus while rolling laying in the parking lot of a Roman Catholic church (just a random spot we decided to stop walking). Profound experience to say the least. I remember looking at the sky. It sort of tinted red and looked like a cracked dry lake bed. A week later I wore my think man(I think that's the name of it) tool shirt and noticed the design inside the font on the front of the shit was exactly what I saw. Very strange.

When I was watching this live at the end of lateralus, I don't know how in the shit tool does this but.... when Maynard starts the final verses after Danny's drum solo the freaking screen came out and the graphics were literally on Maynard. He grabbed a pair of wings or something put him on his back then he threw them off and was dancing around with this fire looking being , then he throws the fire being back into the screen and points at it. I rewatched it sober to see what was going on while I was seeing this. Maynard wax doing all the same hand motions but there were no wings. I don't think this was just a hallucination I'm positive this was done on purpose. I just don't know how they do things like this. I was lost for words and I've never seen anything like that. It was amazing and stretched my mind out to what things are possible

Looks like he doesn't fully turn his back to the audience until after someone shines a laser in his face (toward the end of 10,000 Days). He might have just been protecting his eyes in this case, first by leaving the stage before the end of 10,000 Days and then turning his back for the remaining songs.
