Lyrics:
Disembodied voices deepen my
Suspicious tendencies
Conversations we've never had
Imagined interplay
Psychopathy
Don't you dare point that at me
Heated altercations we've never had
So I'm told
Yet guided by them all
Every single one
Psychopathy
Misleading me over and over and over
Judge, condemn, and banish any and everyone
Without evidence
Only the whispers from within
Psychopathy
Misleading me over and over
Psychopathy
Misleading me over and over and over

My father, in 1996: "The music you're listening to is awful. That's no music, that's noise". Me: "OK, whatever, you don't get it. I get that..." Today, I went for diner at their place. Could not resist showing him the album, artwork and inside screen delivered in the afternoon. He told me: "put it in the player, please" Me: "are you sure?" After "Culling Voices, Descending and 7empest": My 62 years old father: "What's the name of that band again? You can make me a copy of this." Me: "Big smile on my face"... I know no one cares, but that's finally some kind of recognition of the things I love/like and this makes me happy (or happier, since I'm f.cking happy since the release of that Masterpiece) EDIT: He even asked if the drummer had more than two arms...

I totally understand how you feel. I am so proud that my 18 year old daughter loves the new album and wants to see them in concert. It is great when you can appreciate good music for the art that it is. She never liked mainstream pop or country. It makes me feel like I did something right.

@@sterlingmaloryarcher6288 It is nice, indeed! (I was already listening to TOOL in 96. This shows everyone evolve, somehow, even my dad who's been a big influence with the music he was listening to, though. Hey some person, It's hilarious that a lot of people like you go on Tool videos when you have no clue what you're listening to. Here's a clue, this is Tool's primary Artist outside the bandmembers - kzbin.info/www/bejne/epTPqWSwf6mBrJY ... Wake the F' up.

"Psychedelics is a big part of what we do." - Maynard Keenan (2004) - www.ayahuasca.com/psyche/shamanism/ayahuasca-shaman/ .. And after you read that link, and listen to Tools music over years (especially Lateralus), it's all so blatantly obvious. Tool is a shamanic band. Commit to a minimum of 20 Ayahuasca ceremonies with groups of people from around the world , and wake the F up. As everything you believe in your blind Ego-mind is complete lies.

My girlfriend and I both absolutely love Tool and actually bonded pretty tight because of them and this is her favourite song on them album. We bought tickets to go see them in Amsterdam and decided to stop following them for months to avoid spoilers, but she kept on expressing her disappointment over the fact that they wont be playing Culling Voices because of the extra guitar track. I got it spoiled pretty early on, that Danny picks up the guitar for this at the concert.... for seven friggin months I kept this from her. I thought for SURE she'll read it somewhere by accident, but no... Great great great concert, but hands down the best part for me was when they brought chairs on the stage and Danny strolled to the front with a guitar in his hand. Looking at my girl all confused, trying to piece things together and figure out what was going on was one of the best thing I've ever seen... I know how she thinks and she figured it out before they even started playing. Never seen a person freak out like that while still trying to contain themselves. I'll never forget it. F**k, I love her...

Thats that I thougt. By going forward listening the album I thinking more and more about my life and the surroundings. Often I feel emptiness, but everytime I start thinking about how things work it goes away. I don´t know why, but I think when I understand some in life more I see the beauty and the moments that just passed away in the everyday life. Where the focus is more on the bad things that happen.

Pain comes from the same place as fear. Me: now to spiral out.... holds pneumatic arm out to be inoculated. The link between pneuma and pneumatic now clear. ;) Seems plausible TOOL will cure my spinal stenosis 🙏🏽 Bless this immunity. Bless you Adam, bless you Justin, bless you Danny, bless you Maynard (if that is your real name?) 👏👏👏👏 In no particular order bless everyone! Since all matter is merely energy slowed into a dull vibration and all energy is made up of pure consciousness. We are one consciousness, blessed with this human experience. We are made of energy, everything is energy, or consciousness, perhaps one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. If only all could experience TOOL! “I think I took too much acid in the 80’s to remember what I said in 2001” yet “here we go again” Pneuma, culling voices, 7empest, descending then possibly ascending. Fear Inoculate is a gift!!!

But when I first got the album, it was Invincible. About a year and a half later, Descending took the top spot. Now I'm listening to this one constantly. Tool's music really has a depth that is unmatched by other bands I feel. Perhaps the different tracks resonate more strongly with different seasons of life. Either way, I fucking love Tool.

I knew this album had dropped and have loved tool for years, but I had yet to listen. I used to sit around with a buddy of mine who is no longer around listening to the albums on repeat. I cant tell you how many hours on how many days we just sat there quiet passing a bowl back and forth not saying a word just listening. It became a sort of ritual. We were around 15 at the time. I'm 29 now. Life had beaten me down recently. I was just about ready to give up. I remembered they had dropped their album and came to check it out. This album brought me back from the brink.

I agree with you Richard Levy and well said brotha. I became a Tool fan since i first listened to Undertow in 1993 as a senior in high school and saw them at Lollapalooza 93 in Miami . I have seen Tool live a few times since!!! All their albums are on a level of their own, but this one is just as incredible. I have not stopped listening to this album and everyday i find myself falling in love deeper with a different song. The maturation through the years and albums of Tool is amazing as they Tool just always has a way to take me there, and make me feel it inside like words cant describe. Thank you Tool for blessing us with such incredible work for so many years and thank you for giving me the therpay I need everytime I listen to you. Its a feeling that only listening to Pink Floyd or Tool can give me... its beyond music, its my religious experience. I flew alone to see Tool perform in Atlanta on January 28, since they werent coming to Florida originally, and then was blessed to hear that they added more dates and they are coming to Miami now on April 16. My 18 year old son has gotten into Tool since Fear Inoculom was released and now I have 14 row floor seats to see them again, and share that experience with my son for his first Tool concert. Dont worry kid, dad will be back in 3 hours when the show is over from that side!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!! Thank you to the members Tool for the many years of taking me there!!!! Amazing work and Tool are the greatest band of all time!!!! I can go on all day!!!! Thanks for letting me share!!!

This is the most important aspect of Maynard's message from what i can gather: beware the deceiver, the psychopath. This album is a sonic ritual to banish the deceptive powers that be from ones own psyche via the breath (pneuma) and through spiritual combat (invincible). Maynard is a purple belt in brazillian jiu jitsu, so obviously invincible is also based on his experiences there, but the aspect of doing spiritual combat with deceptive individuals and institutions must not be overlooked if one is to understand the concepts and teachings of this work. From experience i know how much damage a psychopath can inflict on individuals and organizations. More than climate change or social unrest, the spectre of the dark triad personality (psychopathy, machiavelianism, narcisissm) looms over us all, keeping us in a semi-permanent state of apathy and dissillusionment.
