Super cool tool indeed! I used to do a lot of concrete back in the day. The bender/cutter we used was massive, of course. We built a bench for it that had the bender recessed in it. Kind of like a miter saw station. Mass producing squares/rectangles for footing cages was fairly easy this way. I worked out a kind of dance step for efficiency. My boss laughed everytime I would do this. Anyhoo...yes, that thing is amazing! Could definitely be used for other purposes than rebar. Thanks for the review!

Hi. How easy is to do squares? Once you move to the next corner it seems the handle its in the way.

You could use it to break sticks to use for kindling.

I bend rebar for a living. Yeah I bend 1000s of pieces a day but in the field… those batteries having capacity to bend THAT much rebar is amazing.

Very good review. I'm a DIYer (KZbinr) building my own house here in Japan. Bought a used one (corded) for 90,000 yen ($1,000NZD) to do my concrete foundation. This has surely saved my DIY ass; I can't imagine the experience of bending and cutting all this rebar manually. I wonder if you've seen any "how-to's" for maintenance or repair of this model? Mine is working fine, but occasionally I hear an odd sound, so would like to give it a once-over to ensure it lasts till the end of my build. Cheers, and thanks for the video.

Could you use this to bend on the horizontal? I have some 10mm rebar sticking up out of concrete piles, I need to bend these at 90 degrees in situe? Any ideas? Would it work? Thanks
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIALАй бұрын
Yes it would work, though it's very heavy to hold.

does the adapter for the 35mm diameter bend come with the tool? or is it special order, and what would be the site or phone number to get it if not included, thanks!!
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Жыл бұрын
It comes with 62mm. 38mm sold separately. I don't know the part number. Talk to an Hikoki or Metabo HPT dealer, they can get it for you.

Not a tool i every need but in my world all those style safety switches get a hole drilled and a cotter pin to disable it lol. I hate ones you have to hold so much. It should jus be a push and stay safety switch. Minor thing. Very cool tool although i have no use for it. Still like to see

I haven't got the 35mm roller attachment I'm afraid. But this is 62mm so a 90 would be about 31mm right. Close enough?

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL yeah that'll work - will be better than putting it in a vice and bashing the crap out of it that's for sure.

With a bit of modding it could be, Good for making metal gates with scrolls, metal fencing, possibly metal conduit if it doesnt just fold it but don't thing it would take much to modify even if it did, car roll cages, Steel hand rails for stairs, cutting armoured electrical cable, cutting steel supporting cable like on bridges, Horse shoes when shodding a horse save the hot works. I would love to see this undressed and a look into the guts of the thing. It might even have enough power to cut though the mother-in-law's cooking 😕 😬
