I gotta agree with the "camp plot" opinion. That shit never interested me, and it's part of the reason why "Race for your Life Charlie Brown" is my least favorite of the Peanuts movies. Though to be fair the camp plots in the 60s comics were usually kinda funny.

Aight so my take on the Linus' Great Pumpkin thing in You're Not Elected Charlie Brown is that it's a reference to political gaffes. Politicians do stupid shit on the campaign trail, like not know the name of a world leader or what the capital of a certain country is. These things usually make a candidate look goofy, which is what happens to Linus right before the election starts.

I don't know if you'll see this, but I wanna say thanks Tariq. Peanuts has been my favorite series since I was really young, and it made me start doing comics. I remember a while ago I had seen your review of A Boy Named Charlie Brown, and it felt so weird and awesome to see another black person talk about the film like that since I grew up on it. I lived in a so-so neighborhood and I got in a lotta fights when I was a kid, and the only thing that made me happy was Peanuts. (And whatever other thing I was obsessed with). I started watching your vids a year or two ago, as I was already a fan of Pan Pizza and wanted to see what else was goin on up in here. And wow man. Your vids have gotten me through some tough times, and this is no different. The love you got for this series is really apparent, and something I and many others can relate to. Not only that, but watching your skills improve and seeing your amazing art just get better is mad cool. Thanks for everything, my bad for the wall of text. Keep on doing.
