Your perception of what's considered gangster is what tells me you're intimidated. You clip me? That doesn't scare me at all because I'd have to see it to believe it. I guess this is where I tell you that I'm a combat veteran who went to Iraq in 2005-2006. Your weak ass scare tactics are a joke. I should laugh at you for your bluff. I'm not scared of death.

I'm white and I love your Black history videos man. Keep up good work. I studied a lot of these queens and some kings so I'm happy to see others are acknowledging them. black women appear to be the most powerful and fearless beings on earth. They have a long standing history of being in charge and self respect and dignity. They should get back to upholding their ancestors customs and how they carried themselves. It's sad to see what many have become today when they can be a million times before as they were always. Pardon my English. I'm not American.

Thanks for sharing. I started searching for African Queens because I was studying about the slave trade and learned that most of the time it was the women on the ships that started fighting back. I am very impressed because I truly never knew about the significance of the strength of our women. Makes me wonder why so many of us that work hard and are strong are labeled as problems by others including men but I see it's in our genetics to be strong willed.

Many of our women are whitewashed and have crossed over and been acclimated to the European way where as for a BM we kan not easily do so and its against our nature to acclimate to ANOTHER MANS CULTURE especially the ALPHAS among us but yes many brothas HAVE acclimated as well. This Brother is doing an amazing job with helping to educate us on our history. We should respect that. And, for those of them that make their rude and outlandish comments are completely out of place. We don't go on your channels and insult your people. That's one thing of where we differ. We are not interested in how you feel about us, because there's only One, who determines who is first or last. Our thoughts are to be empowered and educated, strengthened and love each other. We have too much to be thankful for, such as this bright young man who has decided to play a very important part in Our lives. Please, respect him and the works he is doing. Those of you who come onto his page to discredit his work, keep your negative comments to yourselves. Again, we are focusing on us and not you. Please. Let us be. We have caused no harm to any of you, yet you consistently tear us down. Stop it before it's time for you to stand before Our maker and you will be slashed down on your knees and you will bow down.

Valarie Jacobs as a person who only had to learn about European and American history I find this type of videos quite refreshing. I think it doesn't matter what race the viewers are, if somebody truly is into history they should give this channel a try :)
@valariejacobs28668 жыл бұрын
OhmySweetlittleBlackheart I agree. The young man is doing a great job. But if only so many who are not interested or even disagree stop making such ignorant comments. I've reported 2 so far for their racial and hateful comments. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion rather another accepts it or not. It is their God given right. However, when someone tries to discourage another from knowing who they are or what they believe- especially when it's a people who have already been killed and hated just because of who they are- then there is a problem. I just hope that he doesn't allow any of the mean and hateful comments discourage him from continuing to educate all of us.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your channel. I've been wanting to get some schooling in African history for a while but most of the other resources I found were either very vague or had a Eurocentric or Afrocentric bias. I really appreciate you taking an honest and unbiased position on these things. Nowadays it's very hard to find historical information without some kind of socio-political b agenda behind it.

Some questions that came to mind for me were: 1) considering matriarch vs. patriarch, when did each Queen rule and 2) was the Queen predominantly the primarily the supreme ruler until the patriarchy version of rule came along in the later dynasties? I may be reaching but I’ve never heard of a “King-Bee” in any natural bee kingdom, so naturally “Queens“ handle business w/o a counterpart, in general. I know this was about Queens but it got me thinking... Great work as always!

@iratic.37899 жыл бұрын
natacha daniela I doubt that kind of movie would make it to the Americas in the theaters and it's a shame :(. I want to see that movie so bad. The majority of the slaves were taken to Brazil from Angola which is north of my country. Many Afro-Brazilians still practice their African culture to this day so it's good that they managed to keep some of their culture during slavery. I think it would be great for Angolans to visit Brazil and mingle with them because they can learn from one another which would strengthen both of them. I'm surprised it took someone this long to make a movie about Queen Nzinga. Often times here in the west we only learn about Queen Sheba or Ethiopian and Egyptian queens when in fact some of the most courageous queens are in West and Central Africa in my opinion. I want to visit Angola. It seems like a beautiful country.
@natachadaniela9 жыл бұрын
+Ashley M Oooooohhhhhh you there they don't lol,we have loads in common,now with the crises in.Brazil and Dilma possible impeachment,some Brazilians are coming to.Angola for work,and most Afro-Brazilians already settling down,Angola is in a stage of growth and all we want is to invest in.our culture,the music Angola samba in Brazil samba,kuduro in Angola Brazil is funk,the food is similar,if u know feijoada "beans with meat "was brought in Brazil by Angolan slaves,we are definitely connected,and the movie has English subtitles so it would be great for people to know facts about history,if I could send you the DVD lol

I am kenyan belonging to a small community of the East African coast called the Giriama. I came to learn that an average pre-colonial african woman was not put down, or looked down upon like it has been popularized today. Infact, in our history, a powerful Giriama woman called Mekatilili wa Menza led the resistance against european colonilism, aided by another powerful prophetess called Me-Poho(They got each others backs). Now after Kenya had been colonised, british rules began to make african Men make subjects of their women through touture and violence. Strong and opinionated women would be labelled proud and non-submissive and would be reported to the colonial authorities where they would let men act on their women with violence. The once powerful, strong women of african were being transformed to timid, helpless and hopeless people.These psycological scares have remained to this day.

Naming Africa Queens 👸🏽 without the Great IDIA Niyesigie of Benin Kingdom is incomplete. Great 👍 stuff!!!
