Yeah, Dragontwin will probably never be released, because as a single developer it is curtainly impossible to make a game of the quality that other studios can make it. This does not mean I hope it fails but, it will in my opinion. You should only ask yourself, can I keep up with the demand that the future community needs, Bugfixes, updates, criticism, etc.

I mean there's the HtTYD game 'school of dragons' but that's aimed at kiddos and the graphics are outdated af 😂 I still think they should make a proper HtTYD game backed by DreamWorks, the IP will do all the advertising they need and money they could get out of it would be astronomical. Just look at BG3 a that, uh Harry potter one that people went crazy over for a while. If you got the right studio to work on the game I bet it'd be a massive cash cow for DreamWorks.

The issue is that some games out that are like that (Isle and some other multiplayer dragon game) is they are all waiting games. You will wait for hours for your dragon to age only to get killed and murked by multiple players the moment you bat an eye. These games a very copy and paste which often make it very boring very quickly. Creatures of Sonaria is an alright game on roblox for these times of games, but again the wait time and the combat is horrific in all of these games especially for games that have the same play style.

Though that comes with the challenge of having to provide enough content so it doesn't get boring which it currently lacks. But it's the play-as-a-dragon game I have the highest hopes for since I also don't like the survival game loop.

Just found Dragontwin and it is everything I want a dragon to be. I don't play many dragon games because the flight controls in majority are just not it. Even worse is the combat. No one seems to be able to develop decent fire and attacks that aren't oddly wonky and miss alot. Whether Dragontwin is single or multiplayer I hope it eventually launches.

@@camillepepin8512 Like one of the above replies mentioned, they were supposed to release a dragon 4 months ago and it's only now getting close to releasing when they should be releasing the one after that now. They refuse to give approximate release dates since it stresses them out the closer they get to it. Not to mention, over the 5 years the game has been out, development has been slow as heck. They just can't be bothered and they play off the fact that people are desperate for a play-as-dragon survival game. The people who play are either scarily loyal and defensive, or they're people who don't like the game itself but have no other options. I really can't wait for Wings of Dawn and hope that it doesn't disappoint.

I do know there's one dragon game out right now called "Day of Dragons". From the videos and images, it seems they're trying to make an MMO Survival where you play as different dragons, drakes, and wyverns. On another note, I really hope that "DragonTwin" has the option of playing as a riderless dragon, maybe as a free cosmetic option

First of all, the creator has stated on the official discord server that complex costumization of both the dragon and the rider, including changing the number of legs, will 100% be implemented. Secondly, wyverns ARE actual dragons. The term “Dragon” is a classification like “whale” or “shark”. Dragons come in many different forms besides just the western four-legged dragon that you are thinking of. The east-asian Lung is a dragon. The Lindworm is a dragon and so is the wyvern. Having a preference is totally fine but saying that wyverns are not true dragons is just plain stupid. It is the same as claiming that a cat is not a feline.

Here’s a question why are all the good looking and more intriguing dragon games where you are the dragon itself not going to consoles seriously, we get stuck with a million arcade and anime games that you could run on 1990’s arcade machines but we get a small handful of good games like Path of Titans, Avatar Frontier’s of pandora and Maneater. The last one would have been really nice to see on console as it seems to have similar graphic potential to Path of titans, but no we get to watch these go to PC as we get about 400 more anime games that might as well be the same game just reskined a thousand times. Do they not know people would be interested in this stuff? I work for a living and I do play when I’m home fairly regularly, and looking at only a couple games that are good is a tad upsetting, I’m sure others in similar situations would say the same or at least feel similar. But all I can say is that it’s a shame to see good games become so restricted.
