I’m just saying, overseas when there was a shit target that was appointed to JTF2 they would cry about it because they didn’t want to hump through the mountains for 8-10km so they would give us the HVT! We’ve gotten guys that have been kicked out of the unit (Jtf2) due to “personality” issues but still made it through to become an operator.. comes and does our coarse and fails.. and then on the other side, the guys who leave our command to go Jtf2 usually pass! CSOR guys have failed but they have the highest pass rate of any other branch of military. Our coarse is taught by our own personnel AND a ton of guys from Jtf2. In Afghanistan 2009 and 2012 when I was there, we worked together just about every night. Unless they were with another tier one element like dev or cag and lots of work with both SBS and the SASR. Even CSOR has done tons of work with the brits. But when it comes to the Americans, they have studs up their ass or something and considered us “tier 2” so we as CSOR only worked with their ODA teams like green berets! And we also did some work with their other “tier 2” SOF guys like MARSOC and “white side” seal teams. Don’t believe everything you read either. I don’t know if it’s changed since I retired 6 years ago, almost 7, but.. when it comes to extremely capable SOF units (tier 1) CSOR is getting closer and closer to that conversation and can absolutely hang with the best of the best! We did it with the Brits (SBS) tons of times! But what I was going to say originally before patting myself on the back a little too much there lol, was teams like devgru (seal team 6) are not very special.. yes, they’re good but most of the guys who make it through green team and then get selected to go to one of four teams in that unit are selected based on who likes you and who doesn’t! For the most part! The selection for delta is much harder and even if they know and like you, they don’t care! They want the best of the best! That’s why they’re the best next to the SAS and SBS! And the seals… they love their war crimes. You don’t have to trust me on that or believe a single word I’ve said but.. man. Those guys are a bunch of liars and cowboys. We hated working with them because of that and they always HAD to be in charge 😂 there’s a reason why so many books are out there about how great they are.. cover their tracks. The best fighting forces out there in my experience are the brits SF and the marines! Both conventional marines and SF MARSOC! If those guys are your QRF you know if shit hits the fan, you’re covered! Those boys are animals and are absolutely professional in every aspect! Anyways.. reason why I said “so does CSOR” is because we never get any love or recognition when it’s us going out on DAs every single day in the middle of the day with the Americans! We’ve been outside the wire for 40 days at a time in some instances while JTF2 guys are getting their nails done. Their “assaulters” are amazing.. in training. The ones getting after it with us are their sniper team detachments! Don’t believe me? Look up all the guys that are ex JTF2.. all the guys that are coming out talking about their experiences are or were on a sniper detachment.. the assaulters would be getting their nails done waiting for a hostage rescue while all the other CQB happening had no hostages just hostiles so CSOR would get appointed it. I’m sorry for going on and on but it just pisses me off that people think JTF2 guys are the best and most hardcore when in fact it’s the opposite! They’re supposed to be a big secret but everyone and their mothers know about JTF2 while almost nobody knows about CSOR, what we do and what our capabilities are. One other thing that pissed off all of us is when we get compared to the 75th ranger regiment.. 🤦🏻‍♂️ our skills in every single aspect are superior to those guys. No disrespect, they’re an amazing fighting force and are amazing at what they do but.. if we are going to be compared to anybody we would be somewhere between MARSOC and delta! Delta is in fact “superior” but.. we’re coming in hot and I have no doubt in the next 10 years or so that CSOR will be a “tier 1” unit! Lastly.. I fuckin honestly hate the tier system because it’s an American thing. In Canada, even JTF2s command wouldn’t refer them as tier one. Just a very elite fighting force and can hang with the best of the best! If you don’t believe anything I’ve said, I’ll gladly turn you to my Instagram page that shows alot of the photos I was able to take over seas. 95-96 I was in Bosnia (most disgusting place I’ve ever been) 2002, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012-13 were my “combat deployments” to Afghan. and then did some “things” I’ll just say, in 2014 in the DRC and Somalia, Africa. Then in 2015 I started the process of getting out and finally got out right before 2018! But anyways.. CSOR is an amazing fighting force! They deserve to be recognized! So I appreciate you editing that.. but you didn’t have to, my friend! I didn’t mean it in any negative way! Cheers!
