Their is an art to creating a solo. Some amazing players play uninspiring solos, but there are some people that while they don't have the chops to play intricate, lightning-fast guitar parts, can play solos that you feel in your gut.

I though about fade to black the intro solo, but in my opinion one of the best Metallica’s solo is nothing else matter and it’s from 1991, I really like Metallica songs and riffs but not a super fan of Hammet’s soloing

Nice job. But wow, I would never consider most of that list to be "Top 10" solos of the 80's. I'd pick songs like Crazy Train, Round And Round, Cuts Like A Knife, Shakin', Stone Cold, something by Scorpions or Van Halen, etc.

I just love the effort you're putting into trying to mimic every detail of these solo's. Using a similar guitar for every different song (fucking beautiful guitars by the way, that Les Paul made my jaw drop), and even fingerpicking the Brother in Arms solo like Mark Knopfler did. The beauty is in those details man, love it. If only you had put on a top hat for Sweet Child 'O Mine, or wore a school outfit for AC/DC's song ;)

Bucs Fan the guitarist in those bands are in my opinion far superior to Kirk. No disrespect, but most of his solos aren’t very good, including everything after the tapping in one
@jared305
@jared305 5 жыл бұрын
@@robbiebarousse9063 Kirk Hammett is a very good guitarist. He takes a lot of shit for his wah use, but that just makes him better (to me at least) because he made his own style with it. Kirk had Joe Satriani has a guitar teacher, too, so he knew a lot about theory. Music theory doesn't necessarily correlate with someone's skill, but for him it made him better. He played legendary guitar solos like One, the second solo in Master of Puppets, Creeping Death, and others. Kirk's an amazing guitarist, ranked 11th best in the world by the Rolling Stone, therefore enhancing my claim. Kirk Hammett is a legendary guitarist.

Gibson Gold he wrote some good solos, but most of them are very forgettable. For example, the solo in one starts off cool but soon details and just becomes pretty “meh”. His style is pretty sloppy and overly reliant on wah
@robbiebarousse9063
@robbiebarousse9063 5 жыл бұрын
Action Obama I didn’t specify that the one solo used wah, because obviously he doesn’t. I said overall he uses the wah pedal far too much for my taste. He really isn’t anything special, and when put up next to the other guitar players of the 80s, he’s bottom tier
