K so, I'm a fairly new subscriber, and I gotta say, Casey, your videos always make me laugh. Even if it's just a brief, rapid exhale through the nose. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Oh my goodness I have been messing with that same TV tracking shot and tried your screen replace tut, track went so dodgy near the end and could not fix. It would be great if in the future you could show us how to fix bum tracks. I tried stepping one frame at a time but everything just went crazy. Also who on Earth always smacks the dislike button, crazy, who would do that... Sigh, anyway we love the videos 😁

Good video, however, I still don't get the added value of a matte control. What you did could also be done on a merge node with the same video feeding into both the green and the yellow input, right? Also there seem to be a lot of options which I havent figured out yet.

10:38 - Why wouldn't you apply your Polygon to the Mask input of the MatteControl instead of the Foreground input?
@CaseyFaris4 жыл бұрын
The foreground input is where you add a matte or mask to change something else. If you wanted to say, use part of the existing mask, you could limit the effects of the matte control node by connecting a mask to the blue input. Hahah hope that makes sense.

Hey Casey, in your videos you got a halo around your mouse cursor. How do you achieve this? Is this a little tool/app you use (which?) or do you track your cursor in Davinci Resolve and apply that halo in post?

Hi Casey. I’ve really enjoyed learning a lot from your your excellent videos. I am thinking I’m getting a new Windows 10 laptop with 16 GB RAM. I often see recommendations for 32 gigs or maybe more. Do you think 16 is still good enough to run Resolve?

Hey has anyone else had issues with Resolve. I keep getting this issue where my gpu usage spikes to 100%, and then it stops responding and then I gotta close it out. I’ve heard it’s due to a certain nvidia driver update but I wanted to see if there’s a workaround. Thanks!

All that DMCA stuff and people have it wrong. YOU can sing it. YOU can play it. What you can't do is use their recording and REPLAY it. From radio, itunes, cd, etc. How do you think bands get started going to weddings n other things playing someone else's music.
