To be honest, the level of Police Tactical units depends on the country. The United States need a lot of SWAT teams, as gun laws are really loose, whereas The United Kingdom Doesn’t need as many. Shouldn’t some countries be higher than others in this list?

the uk can have some pretty big spikes in terrorism though as we saw in 2017. Luckily our police units are extremely quick and good and each time they managed to kill the attacker before shit got out of hand. Also the cumbria shootings in 2011 show that yes the uk does need a lot of police tactical units. We arent free from shit you normally see in america

I guess one of the factors that put Serbian SAJ into the consideration is their score on international swat competition in UAE, they are constantly trained by and with US green berrets as well as russian spetznaz. But Serbia has alot more to offer considering that Serbia has more antiterrorist units such as Gendarmery AT teams, PT, Cobras which they all focus on counterterrorism. But theres alot more military based special operation units i didnt want to include.

They have more experience than some of the Units listed cause they were one of the first & America being a more dangerous country than where some units are based. The only reason ya'll probably think they "suck" is because they are common in the media, sometimes being portrayed as comedic. They aren't portrayed as these secretive, batman liked guys like other units are. I think he should've put FBI Swat instead of just swat. That makes people think of the Local Swat units, I do think even the FBI Swat should've been placed maybe at the 5th or 3rd place. The other units are great as well.

FBI SWAT Is trained by navy seals, not SAS. And if they were trained by SAS that is still an highly elite military unit. I mean, the US spends 1 trill a year on its armed forces(More than every country SO FAR). Idk how it is unbelievable for it to be high on people list. Yes in Italy there are GIS(carabinieri) and NOCS(police)..first are military police and go on critical situation in Italy and out(Afghanistan Iraq Somalia), the second go only in national crisis(as SWAT)...GIS is twin with GSG9 and GIGN for example..NOCS with RAID...but GIS have very big experience for many war theaters..

Special Operation Forces,i respect ur patriotism towards ur homeland,but S.W.A.T. is just not first. Look at BOPE, Serbian Cobras and S.A.J. and Russian Spetsnaz training. Its far more hardcore than Us SWAT training. Look at BOPE,they got no perfect equipment,aka their eq is solid,and they still can finish a mission in favela. Look at Serbian S.A.J. and Russian Spetsnaz. Hardcore torturing body 10-20h per day,to make their body dead,so their body can't feel the pain. Discipline,and training is everything,and S.W.A.T. is just not that.

I think people often forget that the FBI SWAT Unit train with Navy SEALS. They use the same tactics & strats as Navy SEALS. They have more experience than some of the Units listed cause they were one of the first & America being a more dangerous country than where some units are based. I dont think even FBI SWAT deserved #1 but, it did deserve to be in the TOP 4's

Swat being number one is bull**** because the quality of the officers varies from city to city. It's not a nationwide standard or same training for SWAT members... GSG-9 for example was many times first place in the SWAT competition in the US (competing against well trained units like the one from L.A.).

We are #1 SWAT because we were the First Nation to create the special police unit. If we haven't create SWAT there wouldn't be German GSG-9, French GIGN, Russian SOBR, and Beijing SWAT. Just like how if there weren't special operation forces like SAS there wouldn't be Delta Force, DEVGRU, Alfa Group, KSK, and other SOF that can operate in the world.
