My favorite is Gonna be lonely. It was difficult to choose my personal favorite, The Beautiful Ones, and How come you don't call me anymore were in the hunt. But I went with Its Gonna be Lonely, because it reflects an actual breakup that I had at that time. I'm afraid to admit that I would sometimes cry while listening to it I was s teenager and you know how that goes, you lose your girlfriend, you think it'd the end of the world. Plus the song was so melancholy...at least until the end when he ramps it up screaming "it's gonna be he he he... lonely" o remember crying and my Dad said "Dewayne, I didn't know you were that sentimental". Great list though you pretty much nailed it. It's gonna be lonely is just so personal that it's my favorite.

I love this channel, it brings me so much joy. Nothing compares to you his version gets to me every time, all those flowers your planted in the backyard all died when you went away. 17 days I freakin love this song! Your heads underwater, doubt you can hear me. So Blue simple and beautiful . The dance I always replay, then when he lets go at the end I was like yesssss!. The Beautiful ones classic , memorable , and of course turns most women to Apollonia in that movie scene. I hate U, sending you a vertical high five 🖐 that’s my jam! The list was a good list, but I just thought Nothing Compares 2 U could have been in the top 3. The lyrics are just jaw dropping. Maybe its Sineads version that brings out the emotions. This is one break up song that invokes tears just from the lyrics. Especially if the break up was because of a death.

Plz listen to the song, Summer all over. By Amos Lee and tell me if u think his vocal in that song kinda sounds like Prince. I think so n really want a second opinion !
