Awesome review ! I just finished the book and was mindblown. Actually noted down a lot of the quotes you mentioned :)

Very interesting review! Was inspired to learn more of this book from Kidney Jerk 👍 Yeah, that quote on the 1 spot got me. What if I'm just not good, and the fear of that holds me back in some ways.

#TheSubtleArtOfNotGivingAF. I totally agree. I carry my book with me and read what ever page I land on I kind of use it as my lesson for the day.

That's a pretty good summary. Read the book 2 years ago and flourishing since. I've tried explaining the method but you pretty much nailed it my friend. 👌👍

Good stuff right here- defs hadda subscribe. I finished the book about two weeks ago and took like a billion notes. Then I relistened to the book and noticed even MORE things that apply to me, and yeah basically it’s an awesome book I think everyone can benefit from listening to. A lot of the things he mentions mean you need to be honest with yourself which is kind of a big part of actually fixing your problems- he probably actually says that in there, I can’t remember

Thanks for telling me this book actually sucks, therefore saves me money and me from almost digesting all those junk that doesn't apply to me who only believes life is suppose to be just fun. 😁

I notice a lot of people who are trying to make a living with youtube make these talking head videos and tend to be really animated with the hands moving all over the place. Is there a connection? Was there an influential "how to make a video" video where they told everyone how important it was to be talking with your hands a lot?

In a nutshell... Yes... It's to engage the audience. People have short attention spans and need to be constantly stimulated. On a subconscious level it is meant to convey (to the viewer) that the speaker is charismatic.

This cornpone rehashing of old psychology, stoic and Buddhist ideas as 'profound' new revelations is...well...tiresome. Perhaps these well-worn cliches appeal to new, young-adult generation ...they must...but, turning this guy into some sort of new-age-populist prophet...pfff

I sense a little butthurt. Sometimes, there are new angles on old principles............and that's ok. Not really understanding why one would be bothered by it. Try to calm that inner storm bud! 🙂

Most people don't read great works, the classics... so, yeah all of this seems new, deep, and profound.
