This is what happens when a performing art appealing to a not-so-wide global audience is introduced at the Olympics for god knows what reason but as a global sports event even the butthole of the planet might qualify to send an "athlete". Then you see this not-so-fit woman doing her thing among the fit 15-20 year olds who still take breakdance seriously and think it's cool to jump and spin/ play dance fight in front of bored grandmothers in Paris. I guess the winners who took a medal are ecstatic but not sure those medals are as shiny as the ones won for excelling at the more traditional sports that have been on propgram for decades and are there to stay.

I just think it should be regulated to sports with clear rules and goals for victory. Any sport where you have supposedly unbiased judges grading based on "creativity" or "artistic merit" is ripe for abuse and corruption as repeatedly shown over the years.
