I remember just walking into nooks cranny, walking around, chillin’ then I hear a mini Nook’s cranny bell ring with sad piano music lol and they kick me out, I’m just like “excuse me” and I was mad cuz I didn’t have enough time to get the customisation kits I wanted. So I waited for 2 hours just waiting and tryna find something to do cuz stupid me believed it opens back up again at 12:00am, it never opened. So ya, atleast I was eating Pringles while I waited but why didn’t I check opening times. Now I purposely go in before closing time, but I notice able sister doesn’t kick u out

Nook's will let you stay too...if you have a friend! I had some folks over selling turnips one time and it actually let us all stay. We were trying to hold it open for one more person and it wouldn't let him in though 😄

another note, you can switch between tools by pressing the left or right d-pad as well. and if you put a tool away but need it again, all you have to do is press the left or right button and it’ll bring it right back! :)

Something I discovered during the bug off is that Flicks eyes actually behave like chameleon-eyes! If you stand next to him with his gaze focused on you he will eventually turn his head back to the front and only look at yoh with one of his eyes!

I didn't know about the turnip prices and weather/shooting stars being predictable. Also, there's a third way to fall in holes : dig a hole in front of a chair or a bench, sit, and get down on the tile with a hole.

one of the pieces of bamboo furniture is interactable and when you press A on it a tiny glowing baby pops out before resetting again. This is a nod to the very popular story of princess Kaguya who was found by an old man that worked as a bamboo cutter and due to the generosity he showed towards her by agreeing to take her in to raise her the next time he went to cut bamboo it was filled with money earning her parents vast amounts of money

For the first one just stay in there until it hits 10PM and you'll get the same results

To be honest, I thought you could stay and browse as long as you get in before 10pm...because I've done it. Turns out, I think that only worked because I had people visiting my island and they were also inside the shop! I've also read it won't kick you out if you're in the middle of dialogue with Tommy/Timmy, but I think it would still kick you out once that dialogue is completed. If you have someone visiting though, it seems you can stay as long as you want.

lots of these are in past games too, also just press right or left on dpad to swap the tool you are useing or if you have no tool in hand it will put a tool into your hands

When you're not holding a tool at all, press left on the D-pad to quickly equip the last used tool. You can also browse all tools with left/right when you're holding a tool; and the order is determined by how they are sorted in your pockets.

Another way to fall into a hole is by sit in a chair and putting a hole around it. To do this you'll probably need a friend to help. I discovered this early in the game when I was at a friends island and tried to trap me by putting holes around a lounge chair but instead we figured out that and played around with it for like 5 minutes lol.

For the one about quickly putting away your item, you can also make you tools all in a line in your inventory with the ones you’ll need most first, and the ones you don’t really need last. Then, whenever you need one, just press the left and right arrow buttons and the first tool in the order you made will pop up. Just keep pressing the arrow button until you get the tool you want lol

along with the dpad thing: you can also press right and left to equip the next tool in your inventory and if you dont have one equipped at the moment it equips the last tool you used the up button is for favorites! its similar to the favorited reactions menu you cant use the dpad in buildings like shops and houses, though

I learned about getting kicked in new leaf when I fell asleep and woke up around midnight and went to play and got kicked out I never got the item I wanted. Also the spider crab is another creature without a cage.

The nintendo switch online app helps you tracking the turnips everyday, you just need to open the game, so I open it every tuesday to see my pattern, it also show arrows like tendency - I know this is an old video btw just saw it and thought it would be interesting to share as not a lot of people know

A weird thing is that although Nooks Cranny kicks you out, Able Sisters doesn’t. I went in there at 8:58pm and went in there. I waited until 9:00pm, nah, they didn’t care. When I went out of AS (Able Sisters) the lights went off, and I couldn’t go back in. I think I actually wanted something from there- oof
