There are so many things to love about Reno! What do you love about living in Reno?

CJ Palace is by far the best Asian food in Reno. (its actually in Sparks). They do both Chinese food and japanese sushi and they do it very well. As Hawaii transplants we have a high standard lol. We did not enjoy ijji's.

I have tried Cj Palace, it's pretty good. If you venture out to the Reno area, check out Kwok's Asian Bistro if you haven't already. This is one of our favorites!

The smoke during the summer time is definitely unfortunate, however it was nice to have a summer like 2022. It was much better than 2021 and 2020.

Why are there so many HOA for single home communities? It looks like all new builds have HOA. What do they offer? HOAs are usually a nightmare to deal with. I would never buy a home with a HOA attached.

To each their own. HOA communities helps with property values by keeping up appearances of homes and common areas. Some newer homes only have hoas that are landscaping so it all depends on where you purchase.

Both my parents are retired nurses and were nurses for almost 60 years combined and worked primarily in the Reno area. Reno is actually over the national average when it comes to pay.

Which hospital is the best for an ER nurse? How's the VA?

@@next_train I asked a friend who is currently working at Renown. She said that Renown ER would be the best, you’ll get a lot of action. It is the only trauma center from Sacramento to Salt Lake. Since Saint Marys is located downtown, you’ll get some action there as well. As far as the VA, it takes a while to get hired on, but people like the benefits. Hope this helps!
