Yes we drove to Maine from NJ. You can either drive or fly to Portland or Bangor Airport. If you stay in Bar Harbor, it is very walkable and just 20 minutes from Acadia, the town has different shuttle options for Acadia so you can even manage without a Car

Hi, We stayed at Bangor as it was a last minute trip for us. But it’s advisable to stay at Bar Harbor as it’s just a few minutes drive from Acadia
