Hey Charles, I am from Germany. My brother is in a band and the bassist left the band a while ago because he had to move in a far away city due to a new job. My brother asked me several times if I want to join them, but I have no bass yet. I can play the guitar, so the learning process should be a bit quicker I guess. You are a huge inspiration for every musican I know in person regardless wich instrument they are playing. Keep up the great work Charles :)

I played guitar in the mid 70’s. Richard Mason was my tutor. Then life happened. I gave it up to follow a career in engineering I always had it in my mind to retire one day and play again Then in 2003 i had a mv accident that basically left me a quad Took me 14 months to recover Sequestrated and divorced i carried on and submerged myself in expat lonely lifestyle to survive My 10 year sequestration went from 2005-2015 so never really had time to build up a retirement kitty proper Now in my 60’s i would really really like to play even tho my legs are wooden from the knees down and my hands and fingers do not have too much feeling I can just say i truly enjoy your playing and watch yourself, Marcin and Luca You guys inspire me I have the regret of never continuing something i always loved : playing the guitar So i can tell all of you reading this, take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to follow your dreams and make them happen. You never know when your life is going to change in the blink of an eye and you may have regrets Take care Keep on keeping on Heads up Eyes open No fear All the way from South Africa

Well, I thought about trying to get this bass but my bass stands right next to me and it is a pretty good beginner bass with even more frets than the bass you could win here. So for me there is actually no real point in taking part in this lottery. Especially now that i have heard this story, I would not appreciate getting this bass myself as much as knowing, that someone like C C got it. So if my opinion even matters and if it is possible, i would vote for this guy to get the bass instead of taking part myself. If not, I still wish you all the best and good luck from Germany. I am sorry for the bad English.

Country: United States of America So, I had a friend share your video the other day with you playing Californication. I was blown away by it. Your abilities are off the charts and your mind for it too, it just brought me back to when I played bass. I always wanted to play and for my 13th birthday my mother took me to a pawn shop to buy a bass. A four string sunset casino, I loved it. The feel, the sounds, and the joy I got playing it. Well, many years later, I'm 28, and I haven't played a bass in years on years. Watching the Billboarr Music Awards with my girlfriend off recording and here comes Duran Duran to play, for whatever reason they made me want to play bass, just the groves in their music always hit me, and it was the bass, I had to play. Well I told my girlfriend that story and this was already after I saw your amazing video and many more when I went down the rabbit hole. Now all I keep coming back to is what are the chances? I see your video, your giving away a bass, and then later on I'm watching my TV and the band that inspired me to ever pick up a bass in the first place is on, it's crazy to me. But, I finally got the courage to just write it all out, because it just doesn't happen like that always. Thank you for reading and thank you for the consideration.

Country: USA I've played music for most of my life starting with the piano when I was about 4 years old and moving on to percussion all through middle school and high school and picking up guitar along the way. In college I studied engineering and every semester that I took a music for non-majors class I aced all of my engineering coursework. For me, learning and playing music seems to be something that helps me to be my best self. Unfortunately, once I started my professional career, got married, had kids... music has really just fallen by the wayside. Finding your channel has inspired me to pick up music once again and I think this time I'd like to try bass and really strive to learn and practice but also to enjoy the journey of learning and playing music once again because when I'm playing and learning music, I think it helps me to be a better father, husband, and employee. He’s been a huge inspector for me to get into playing music and also played a heavy influence on my taste of music. With him playing the guitar I wanted to be different. The bass guitar plays a huge yet hidden role in music and I love the sound. Due to life and how it can throw you a curveball sometimes, my budget has gotten tight. I love watching your channel and watching you play. Your sounds is amazing And I’d be honored to get one of your bass guitars to learn to play. Country: United States Reason: I've never liked stringed instruments in my life, and though I was fine with typical stringed instruments in a symphony orchestra like violin, cello, etc., I was never into the sound of guitar/bass at all. After watching Davie's video where you were introduced to me, I was at first intrigued by the sheer skill with all the techniques despite my lack of knowledge regarding bass. After I started following your videos, I realized that bass can be an awesome instrument that sounds beautiful, which also helped me to appreciate guitars more (I have added composers' guitar sonatas to my classical playlist since). Though I'm mainly a classical listener, I got to know of awesome bassists like Victor Wooten and Michael Manring through you. I play piano, but bass is definitely something I would now love to get into, though I'm not sure how good I can get when I'm already 20 years old :/. Hi I'm from Germany! The bass lines always were what I liked the most about many songs.. Theres so much variety to it and it sounds so cool or funky. I've recently (maybe due to covid) really gotten into watching countless KZbin videos of people playing it...and I really want to learn it myself.. It would be a way to escape the stress from studying for exams and experience music on another level than just trough my headphones.

Country: Philippines Reason: I'm a self-taught multi- instrumentalist that doesn't have own instruments because musical instruments here are quite expensive that tends to limit my musicality. Just plays instrument whenever I'm in church. I'm a church instrumentalist actually... 😅

"Why not try" -Portugal - I never tried in my life to be good, and with music it was the same. Whenever I tried I gave up. But hearing davie504 and his story, I thought better of it. Since then I started practicing what I could on my brother's guitar.

Country; Egypt I love bass guitar since as long as i can remember. I enrolled in bass guitar lessons but dont own a bass, was not able to practice. Stopped the lessons and started reading and watching videos about bass guitar. Been saving to buy but till now sadly saved about 20% of its cost. Full-time employee, father of a sweet daughter, lots of commitments. Saving the full cost of a bass and an amp will seem like around 1-2 years savings. Besides, blue is really my favorite color :) cheers to u!

Country: USA I play guitar since I was 14 now I am 25. Last 5 years I didn’t even take guitar in my hands. I was stucked at some techniques etc... You lighted up my music inspiration inside me. And I didn’t know that a bass guitar can be really tasteful to listen and play. I wish I started to music with bass. I want to join your bass army and slap the bass ! And love to listen your bass Charles !

I am from Nicaragua 🇳🇮 and I like your videos. Funny and you have great skills. Bass is been my favorite instrument artist and however, never made it to Lear, since some things were more accessible, so looking to learn will be like a "dream come true"!

Country: US I took up bass some 20 years ago, but sold it after only a year due to financial stress. I've never had the heart/motivation to try again, but your channel has both recalled many awesome memories and inspired me not to dwell on the regret of lost years playing. Cheers for all you do.

Country: Slovenia I've played flute for more than 10 years and i learned guitar (chords)by myself and one thing that really makes me happy are low notes. I can spend hours just jamming on e string on my acoustic guitar and when i found out your channel i got addicted to this fat low sound of bass and the glory of slapping and tapping. Please keep on doing this videos cause you are amaziiiing. 👌👌

Country: US Why: I have always seen music like the highest form of art, with every instrument able to access millions of colors that we can use to paint a picture. For most of my life I have been unable to afford any sort of musical instrument, and only recently was I able to get my first piano which has brought me the greatest joy of my life. I hope I can learn bass as the critical rhythmic accompaniment to the piano and music in general, but also I hope to learn how to play melodically: gliding, slapping, and tapping my fingers effortlessly across the fretboard as you do. It looks profoundly fun to rip out solos along those wide strings, I actually find myself more attracted to bass guitar than regular guitar. Thanks for spreading the joy of bass to the world man :)
