It's never been a more exciting time to be vegan and plant based! The options at the grocery store are so exciting right now, but remember, just because it's plant based does not mean it's always good for you. Even though I am not a vegan, I love my veggies and I'm always cooking and experimenting with plant based products. Beyond beef is changing the meatless game, but there are some really exciting things happening with plant based yogurt, butter, coffee creamers, and cheese. Let me know if I missed any exciting vegan products! Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

My 64 year old brother transformed his health this past year by going vegan and eating only fresh organic food for a year or so. His back pain has virtually disappeared. He no longer requires or takes pain medication or blood pressure medication. He’s lost 20 pounds although he has never been overweight. His energy is that of his 20 year old self. I’m amazed by my brothers story. He’s a huge advocate now for vegan lifestyle

Veganism initially works because it mimics fasting and people usually remove all the processed crap they used to eat. At some point however you will run into deficiency.

semret adam you’ll need a blender. Purchase the fruit and vegetables you want to introduce to the child. For example, take a sweet potato and boil it until tender, put it in the blender with some of the water and blend to your desire consistency. There’s endless possibilities, you can roast, grill, bake even make soups or whatever you want n blend it up.

I’m about 90% vegan. I cook most of my own meals at home & stick to mostly planted based recipes. If I go out to eat for a special occasion or it’s a family gathering I’m ok with eating meat, poultry & fish. I’m not a big fan of cheese but I do love yogurt. I make my own batch of grass fed organic yogurt in the instant pot almost every week. I also make my own ice cream or if I’m being lazy go with Hagen. It’s what works for me because when I tried 100% veganism I was always thinking about the things I couldn’t eat. Lol

I was plant based, almost vegan for quite a while. When I cut out the last animal food (oysters) the joint pain from inflammation disappeared. I'm in my 60's. You might not notice the difference, but you won't know until you try. Kudos for being almost 100%. Too many people think that if you don't go all the way, why reduce at all? Because your health, and the health of the planet will be better.

Don't know what percentage. But I have following the Mediterranean way of eating. The longer I am on it, the less meat I am eating, also my serving size of it has gotten to about 3 oz when I eat it. BTW, I'm 71, also had the experience of much less joint pain and higher energy.

Bobby, what Sarah said. You have completely changed the way I shop. It takes twice as long, because now I read every label. And your information with on why organic and grass fed and free range, etc., has really helped me explain why the more expensive products are important. Mind you, this is the Goodwill/Thrift Store King, so he already has issues with retail prices. :)

Re; vinegar in pickles being "bad" Bobby, you need to review basic stomach physiology. The pH of pickle juice runs around 3, the pH of the stomach goes down to 1 (that is 100 time more acidic than pickle juice). Your pancreas then excretes bicarbonate that neutralized stomach acid as it enters the duodenum. A little bit of pickle juice or vinegar (or salad dressing, or the highly touted apple cider vinegar) is not going to do anything to your gut bacteria much lower down in the intestine.

I am so thankful I found your channel! I have a large background in nutrition and still, I've learned so much from you in 2 days of watching your videos. One being natural flavors. How sneaky is that?! Yeast extract! Had no idea...I always used to wonder why people made their own salsa, or hummus or yaddi yadda, now I know. But I'm vegan so keto doesn't work for me personally, so I thank youuuu for this video. I need it. I check my labels and feel very vindicated (and annoyed) now when I find the evil culprits in my foods

Thanks for the great information. You said in a different video you like the simple mills almond crackers but in this video you pointed out the oil in them that you don't like on the ingredients list. I'm assuming that's because you like the ingredients in the Mary's crackers better and you were comparing the 2? Are you still ok with the Simple Mills crackers overall?

Simple Mills is not just gluten free but grain free. As someone who is not eating any grains at the moment it is the only product I am able to eat unless I make crackers and chips for myself. Sometimes I want something I don't have to make myself.

As always, I enjoy your videos and would love to see more plant-based videos. Incorporating more plant-based options would be wonderful and add even more variety to your already amazing content. Thank you

I’ve been drinking Zevia to help my soda cravings and just found out they have natural flavors in it. Any other recommendations?

There is a primal coffee creamer I found recently w organic flavor. I wasn't sure if that was the same as natural flavors either.
