I don't think you'll ever get a team like the 99 Rams: Decade-long losers, no-name QB, washed-out coach, played second-fiddle in their own city (Cardinals are the team in St. Louis), and still had the most improbable season in NFL history, outscoring the high-flying Vikings in a shootout, out-muscling the smash-mouth Buccaneers in a defensive stalemate, and out-enduring the tested Titans who had their own miraculous run: pulled off a miracle against the Bills, knocked off Peyton Manning in Indy, and beat the powerhouse Jaguars. I don't think you'll see anything like that team again, and I'm not even a Rams fan.

@Hector Rodriguez Well, he really didn't have a great tenure in Miami. Hiring Sparano and signing Pennington were good moves (for one year anyway) . But in 2008 and 2009 other than Jake Long, Miami drafted horribly and Parcells bailed early (shock). Miami had the perfect storm in 2008. A last place schedule, Favre signing with the Jets, so they could get Pennington They would have had Josh McCown /Chad Henne as their QB if they didn't get Pennington. Brady went down for the season in the first quarter of the first week. Miami got some lucky bounces in 2008, as their expected W/L of 8-8 shows. Still, as a Miami fan, that season was a lot of fun and unexpected.

Miami Dolphins to me under Sparano in 08. The Wildcat may have had a short life, but that was a masterful job of coaching and still affects the league more then a decade later. We got 2 great RB's. We've got a strong zone scheme that keeps opposing defenses at bay just long enough to not figure out whats going on. More importantly, for the first time in years you had a team totally dedicated to forcing a defense to play 11 vs 11 instead of the traditional 11 vs 10. You look at any team that has consistently added RPO's or designed QB runs in the league nowadays, the league has had to adjust to playing that type of football. But back then, the thought of a Chad Pennington going for 5 YPC was absurd. The more you see the game develop in that way today, the more I found respect for what that man did with a team that ultimately had no direction.
Don't do that man. People scroll to debate...not to get spoiled. Your not doing a solid

For these kinds of situations I love the NFL. That a team has a maximum of 3-4 victories one year and the following year is in a position to compete at the top, is what makes this competition so incredible. I'm from Spain, Madrid, and here the only sport that matters is soccer, and the only two teams with real chances of winning the Spanish league every year are Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, which are the two clubs that have all the money with the salary capacity to sign the stars they want every year. This is a reality, which causes a maximum advantage over the rest of the teams that compete to the maximum to try to reach the top, but that finally never reach anything.

@tempest200004 жыл бұрын
They were exposed? As what? A bad team? No. Inconsistent? Sure. But at their best, they were a good team. Not great, but good. And getting exposed in the playoffs? They beat a team that was one yard away from winning their division. They beat Russel Wilson at his best. I can say they were not the most talented team, not the most consistent or the most dominant. But they stuck together. And what was the old Bill Parcells’ saying? "You are what your record says you are!" And Tramon is quoting what everyone was saying about the team. He was saying “a lot of the people don’t like the way we’re winning. That were the worst 13-3 in the world.” He then said “we’re gonna continue doing what we’re doing.” “We’re confident in our guys and we’re gonna keep doing what we’re doing.” And everyone forgets this is the first year in a new system. Every QB has trouble going into a new system. When Favre went into the McCarthy system in 06, he played mediocre, then had a great year afterward. They’ll get better. As long as Aaron Rodgers is Green Bay’s QB, they’re gonna be contenders. And now he had something to prove. It’s like Bakhtiari said. “Aaron is about to be on fire.”

💥💥Where is Al Davis at? he took over a raiders team that was 1-13 and his first season he went 10-4. At the time it was the best turnaround in history and he won coach of the year🤦🏿♂️

Another reverse turn around nobody talks about: 2015-2016 Panthers. The Panthers recorded a 15-1 season and finished with an overall 17-2 season. Then, in 2016 they completely fell apart, going 6-10 and miserably missing the playoffs. This 11 game fallout is one of the worst in NFL history

I knew that Shanahan would make San Fransisco good, however, I think that they will have a hangover as they replaced Buckner with Kinlaw and Sanders with Aiyuk. Both Buckner and Sanders were key. They should've traded Kwon Alexander for a pick and replaced him with Patrick Queen.

The 8 teams who finished last place in 2020 Jets Bengals Jaguars Broncos Eagles Lions Falcons 49ers 49ers have the best chance to make ot from worst to first. Broncos also have a good chance they are a QB away from being a division contender
