I have been lugging around my same Rigid boxes for 5+ years, I can definitely vouch for their durability. I've used them since before we did the school remodels. Same boxes going strong without any kind of breakdowns. I must concede they don't have the options of the others but bang for the buck is great as a mobile tool storage option. I have 3 plus sets of them. I love Pack Out but couldn't resist the bang for the buck and they have lasted.

I came from property management, i got rigid for my first set. I’m a little disappointed. The large box is weaker on the top and has a hole now, the middle box lost a latch, and the small box took a small hit to the corner and has water intrusion issues now. It’s definitely a good system, but not the greatest.

I have the rigid system with the rolling box and the second box on top, I love it, the second box snaps into place securely, the handle is a bit wobbly but I haven't used a mobile tool chest that the telescoping handle doesn't wobble a little and for under $100 for the two I can look past it. If you're just getting into the trades or a DIY-er this is the way to go in my opinion.

I lined and riveted a bucket liner along the interior of my ridged bottom box to aid in organization...I worked with it through 5 states,4 years.... once my hand tool work started staying in a shop and I did not travel anymore I gave them to a local musician who STILL totes them to bars, and clubs for wires, and other “musician stuff”.... Last time I seen him,he was bragging as he lost his grip on the stack, and they fell off a loading dock.... Didn’t even crack them. 👍🏽 They are bad to the bone and WELL worth the $99.99 no matter what field you are in.

I must say that you really shocked me with your number 1 revelation... I bought the packout system. The bottom wheeled box is for my work truck, the other two I put on my snowmobile in conjunction with the available mounting plate, simply awesome! I bought a second plate and can easily move my boxes from my Skandic to my Titan easily. Incredible quality, very robust.

I've had a couple pieces of the Milwaukee packout for about 2 years now (the base and the largest attachment box). They are very well made products that have held up to life on construction sites with only barely noticeable scratches and dings in the plastic(plastic which feels like the toughest I've owned, it's seriously tough stuff). My only complaint is that more of the pieces don't work well for what I'm hauling. I don't have small bits that need organizing, so the smaller sizes don't really work and I end up throwing a soft sided bag(not the packout soft bag) on top instead of using a third piece. I could use the milk crate piece instead, but my soft bag closes up so I don't have to worry about stuff failing out going over gravel or unfinished flooring, and it's a bit pricey for a milk crate, couldn't justify it when I bought the other pieces.) The mounting plate for your truck rocks, so much better than a bunjee cord. Would recommend them 100%, especially so if the small box sizes work for you.

Love my rigid boxes. I guess having the packout radio or packout charger is a need for some people. I need a box that fits as much as possible. When I was comparing the 3 in store when I was ready to buy, I measured the inside dimensions and found the rigid had more room in every direction except for depth I believe packout had an extra 1/2". I was sold with rigid.

During my off season, custom made organizer out of 1-by It holds my tapes, chisels, small pry-flat bars extra Batts. Now us quick and easy have doubled my storage space. Instead of opening the lid seeing everything in the box now open the lid is neatly organized for more efficiency. Nice video vince

I originally bought the Husky system a few years ago and for about a year or so it held up pretty well. After a while though the plastic covers started cracking and breaking as well as losing the latches. I just bought the Rigid System and bought enough of them where they stack up to my neck height (I'm 5'10") So Far I like it and feel like I could kick this thing down a flight of stairs and it would hold up just fine.

Recently got a job as a field service technician on forklifts and tools need to be mobile. I looked into dewalt and ended up going with Milwaukee pack out. The boxes r similar in size but Milwaukee has more storage room inside. Moving boxes around to get to different ones is easy with their system. It’s like having full size tool box very happy with it so far. Do wish they had drawer systems on their boxes make it easier for wrenches and sockets.

This set is the best. Milwaukee knocked em all out!!! My gripe with the rigid system I have is that over time the extending handle starts to stick and won’t retract. And the plastic teeth at the bottom of the box, where a lower boxes handle connects, wears down and they come loose on their own. The Dewalt system has problems with the latching. My latches became very tight and hard to close one of them broke off and was replaceable but required maintenance. The handle on the top that I never use is also broken off. None of these problems with my Milwaukee and they are the most versatile and durable by far.

I'm neck deep in the Ridgid system, a dozen or so pieces, no wheeled base cause I usually have a hand truck around. Just saw the new Milwaukee drawer unit - very nice! Between the drawers and the base plate I'm thinking seriously about starting over in spite of the cost. Starting out 40 years ago I used milk crates. I made wheeled dollys and drawer units that nested with the milk crates. I had flip up side tables and parts drawers. It was a lot of work to make the stuff but there are some features I still miss a bit. Milwaukee is the best system I've seen yet but they didn't have much when I started buying Ridgid. I'm retired now but seem to stay just as busy as ever.

I bought into the Ridgid system because of availability and price... and I like the way they lock together. They don't have all the options of the other systems, but that's okay with me. (That inner lid panel can be removed for more storage space - it really doesn't do much.)

Just tried this and it works, although I shreded some plastic using flatheads but got it off in the end. There's structural plastic supports underneath so you only get half the extra space you'd expect, but that may be worth it for some.

Thanks for mentioning the Bosch system Vince. I use the Ridgid boxes and Huskey bags for all of my business needs. Just an interesting FYI. German Metabo just introduced the copy of the SYSTANER system which is the Festool system, the European Makita stackable system, and also yes the current Bosch stackable which is still alive and well in Europe. So my point is, the SYSTANER system is an updated version of the out dated US Bosch system also made is Israel 🇮🇱 😀

Hello, I will share my experience with the 3rd place system and I have been using it for 4 years. Producer KEATER in Europe, you can buy the orange version in DIY stores, the gray version is available mainly online. The gray set is available with organizers with containers and a transparent cover for a better overview of the contents. The most important thing when buying was the price because the basic set costs a third of the competition and is equally durable, and we are only limited by the imagination of how to fit them under ourselves.

I have the ridgid system and bought them (boxes only) because they’re reasonably priced and I have loved them. However I really like the versatility of the pack out HOWEVER I cannot justify to myself and my boss(the wife) to spend $700+ on a whole new box system just because it’ll be more customizable and easier to work out of. Eventually I may switch to team red boxes but that’ll be in quite a few years.

Milwaukee needs a solution on par with Dewalt’s shop and van racks. I have a shop wall mount rack full of drawers in the Dewalt system that still really don’t have a good match in the Milwaukee system. I can slide them in and out of the rack as needed or simply leave them mounted when I’m in my shop and still easily access everything in the drawers. I haven’t seen the Packout drawers in person yet but I’m not sure they quite match the way I can use what I currently have. After getting Kaizen foam inserts for the drawers and setting them up I have a great shadow boxed set up for all my hand tools.

My favourite is Milwaukee packout, least favourite is ridgids system I've had two and on both the handle seems to be the weak point of it and the wheels

Milwaukee needs to make a bigger packout vaccum, a pressure washer (karcher) and a 2.0 version of their first boxes that have the hanging option that the crate has. Other than that, just some organization options to have their wrench sets on the go inside a packout or something (soft organizer, hard organizer, packout inserts, hardcase or something other than the bins they offer, even if they are great).

Vince you are correct in your opener. From tool.ttote bang from.bucket boss to milwaukee packout. It just feels like quality...

Well well well... I gotta agree with you in many points, still I think DeWalt tough 2.0 is the better choice for most commercial users. BUT you are damn right with the lights of Milwaukee. Those are bloody awesome and I hope DeWalt just copy’s that idea

What’s your take on the Craftsman Versastack? I get a bigger discount on it than the one I get on other tools, and have been considering it but don’t wanna get it and then just need to turn around and get something because it didn’t get it done.
