Hopefully the first fish survived. Was dropped, kept out of water for who knows how long... And then just plopped back into the water without being revived. Gotta help those big girls live to breed more like her 👍. Awesome catch for the kid tho!

I agree, if I catch decent ones I do keep them out a little while to weigh them, hold them with 2 hands take in the moment etc.. but I usually hold it by the mouth and it back in the water and shift it back and forth to get it back used to swim then when I pull it forward the last time I release it in forward motion and they usually swim right off. Respect the fish✊🏻

I just caught an what I’m guessing is an 8 don’t want to say it was bigger than it was in a pond but I couldn’t get to my car to weight and measure it had no idea that pond even had fish like that. Got it photod and sent back in less than 2 mins

Idk 🤷‍♂️ I grew up in South Florida fishing golf courses! I guess I’m a lil spoiled lol 😂 this is an every day for us. Plus Peacock Bass and the rest of the exotic fish we have down here! Not to mention land locked Tarpon and Snook.Tight lines and nice fish!
