Methinks she had a moment, maybe a mental freakout or break of some sort. We don't know her mental health history but could play. The camera can output a picture at pretty much any arbitrary aspect ratio. The resolution thing is kind a red herring, the app is just giving you three options. So she might have had another camera app on her phone or used a different app that also made use of the camera and took the picture using that while she was incapacitated and didn't realize it. Maybe a game camera app was used to take the picture, those will use low resolutions. As for the picture itself, low light, maybe the lens was covered but it was definitely taken with a slow shutter speed judging by the streaks in it. Nothing remarkable about it really. If the camera settings can be accessed by app programmers they could tell the camera to take a picture at any resolution that the camera sensor supports, which will be waaay more than just 3. Typically. The light in the forest her nephew saw, almost certainly just a person with a flashlight walking around. It was the evening after all. Reason the instructor got spooked was because of the strange person in the woods with a flash light stalking around near school grounds. Reason it happened the year before, same guy likes the seasonal weather of the time of year and also enjoys going out into the woods. Her scientist husband? He is just being a good husband and supporting his wife anyway he can. Sadly, I think the story might be more of a story mental decline in older age rather than of Predator roaming through the forest of oregon, stalking and toying with potential pray. For everyone involved in that story, I think they'd rather it was Predator.
@taniahylian3799 Жыл бұрын
That last story is so weird! I remember something similar happened to me once when I was out at night in the middle of the desert. I remember that we were walking down this path, and I suddenly felt the urge to stop and stare at one particular direction, not even knowing why. I was slightly scared, but not enough to tell the others, and I just felt something was out there, so I took out my phone and took a picture... but it came out *really* weird. I was only able to see the cactus directly in front of me, but they were enveloped in this weird rainbow-y light, like there were red, blue and yellow rays coming from somewhere to my right, but everything was in complete darkness. I took another picture, thinking maybe my finger had gotten in the way, but it came out the same. I even took off my phone case, but to no avail; according to my phone, there was some kind of light comming from somewhere even if I couldn't see it. I'm thankful I wasn't alone that night, and that I was relatively close to civilization, because otherwise idk what could've happened.

@@alsimonuk Maybe not something as Ludacris as that, but something clearly was off about how Dylan died, I mean zero tracks whatsoever by the body or even leading to or away from it on that mountain, David was right to question what the police were doing with the case as it seemed like they were sweeping it under the rug as they didn't immediately have any clues to determine the cause of death. But I think that's where the police were also trying to sweep it under the rug as now, they have the equipment to detect harmful substances inside someone's blood, which I believe during 2014 was when that tech was either already fully incorporated into police stations for that very purpose or was just beginning to get around, if that station had that tech they could have taken a sample of his blood to see if there were any harmful substances in his blood. They know he was drunk or at least tipsy but parties also tend to have at least that ONE PERSON smuggle drugs into the party and spike a few drinks with those drugs and Dylan might have been under the effects of those drugs if they had an extremely strong dose, perhaps enough to where he just started thrashing around which could explain why there were no tracks, which was why his pants and boots could have been removed from his person especially if that was done when he reached where he was found or at least up in a tree somewhere.

There’s an interview with this woman somewhere, Maybe it’s in one of the 411 films, or with David Paulides. She talks about how she could “see” it moving and grasping branches that were farther away than anything with normal appendages could get to. Like this shimmering holographic being would reach out and then the “arm” would stretch out and lengthen to reach the next tree, which would dip down towards this creature. And this happened well before the “Predator” films came out. Really creepy.

It was 'The Hunted", missing 411 documentary. The lady said she saw it reach over and climb on to another tree that was 12 feet away from the tree it was already on. Then she took pictures, and the shot she took of it came out in a resolution her camera didn't have an option for. This isn't the first time I've heard of digital equipment malfunctioning when trying to capture something weird. I think film would be immune to that interference. It's a chemical medium and therefore should be less prone to scrambling. But the chances of someone being out when they notice something odd, and having a film camera on them instead of digital is probably almost non existent.

Listening to the story about Dustin I immediately remembered a fellow I rescued in the Smokey's a number of years ago, he was acutely hypothermic and having lost much of his cognitive ability he stripped nude believing he was overheating and took shelter under what he thought was a large rock outcropping. In reality when I found him he was on the summit of the mountain (Either Thunder Head or Rocky Top, I can't remember atm), nude, and pressed up against a small bolder covering only his head and face with the rest of his body exposed to a constant icy mist.

The last story reminded me of an experience I had. I was doing Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in the army back in the summer of 1991 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. My platoon was doing land navigation training exercises in the forest and had separate into squads to work on our objectives. It was a hot, bright, sunny day and the woods were alive with sounds...crickets, cicadas, birds, squirrels, etc. The noise was incredibly loud. My squad was moving along from point to point on the topographical map and recording our progress. At around midday, we were walking up this short hill and reached the flat top of it, about 50 meters across, when we noticed that all sounds had stopped. We were in an old-growth section of the forest that had gone completely silent. And it wasn't a normal silence. It was almost like the silence in one of those hearing test chambers. We could hear each others' voices, but they seemed to fall completely flat...no echoes whatsoever. We looked around and there were probably a dozen or so depressions in the ground scattered around us that were around 6 feet long, 2-3 feet wide, and maybe 6-8 inches deep. To me, they looked as if they were maybe very old graves that had sunken in. I was never able to find any information about them later, nor do I know if they had anything to do with what followed. In what seemed like a very sudden event, we were all overcome with this intense sleepiness. It hit us all at once. We could not hold ourselves up any longer, so we just lied down on the ground and immediately fell asleep. I think it was about 30 min later when I was awakened by a cheeky squirrel throwing acorns at my head out of the tree I was under. The sounds had returned. Everyone sort of came to at the same time, and we just got up and continued on our way. I would have to say that's one of the strangest things I have ever experienced, and I have no explanation for any of it.
@danielpulley38913 жыл бұрын
"Ranger graves" are hasty 1-2 man fighting positions, a dozen or so being a typical squad sized element. Very common in a military training area. Can't speak to the rest of it though other than being sleepy in basic/ait is also not that strange haha!
@DoubleplusUngoodthinkful3 жыл бұрын
@@danielpulley3891 Ok, thanks for the info. It makes sense given the hilltop position I guess, even if there didn't appear to be any displaced soil. But the sleepiness was not a typical AIT thing. It was literally irresistible. I never get that way, and I was very young back then, and 5 or 6 guys all at once? I think we all had our hair standing on end after that experience.

@@DoubleplusUngoodthinkful Just a theory, but if the humidity, temperature, and the aforementioned "Ranger Graves" spacing were just right it would be the cause of the almost noise canceling effect. In terms of the immediate circumstances of Dustin's death, it's a perfect example of the common, but paradoxical, behaviour of someone experiencing hypothermia. As one's blood begins to move to the core regions of their body to keep the vitals warm while feeling is simultaneously being lost in the extremities, they can mistake the sensations associated with these processes with overheating, convincing their hypothermic mind that it's a good idea to strip. Combined with this is an extremely primitive mammalian response to hypothermia called "terminal burrowing" or "hide-and-die syndrome." In our ancestors it likely served a purpose, but now it leads to people who have lost heating in their homes being found naked under their beds or in closets, or in Dustin's unfortunate case, in a hole in the ground in a highly disturbing, primordial attempt to escape the cold. The circumstances that led him to that point, however, I have no explanation for.

As opposed to staying in the warmth of his nearby truck? Or using the supplies he packed? Or lighting a fire with the abundant woodland nearby? Making wacky theories is fine but you gotta respect the details given not just inject cavemanology bias into it. His own family couldn’t understand why he would do that, the search & rescue were confused as to why there was no camp or why he didn’t stay in his car and his ex reported him fearful of a stalker. All that kinda suggests the typical 411 anomalous third party not the ancient ancestral jam your head in a hole to warm up remedy.
@borutoburrito6547 Жыл бұрын
@@therealdonaldtruth Terminal burrowing is a real and fairly well-documented phenomenon. Most likely he only stuck his head in because he could only fit his head in. As for why he left his truck, he said that he believed someone was following him. It's possible he had become paranoid, either because someone actually was following him or simply because he believed they were, and didn't want to set up camp or light a fire in case they managed to locate him due to the fire. If someone was following him they likely lost him at some point and eventually gave up but Dustin didn't know that and thus kept wandering until his death. There could be another explanation but that seems like a very likely one to me.

In the last story, Jan did get a photo of what she was looking at, but the problem is the microchip in the Blackberry wasn't powerful enough to figure out what it was seeing. The distortion was of some *thing* or some *one* bending light around themselves, so what the camera picked up was the light refracting and fracturing around the moving object/subject. Had she held a regular camera, she would've gotten a motion blur similar to what you might see in the Predator movies. Even a video would've been better due partially to the fact that the camera would have time to figure out the proper resolution.

Did anyone notice, the case of Dustin, that he never mentioned the people chasing after Dustin again. And that the people only talked about theories of how he died but never, who were those people.
@myth40203 жыл бұрын
personally i think he was quite literally bullied to death and made to walk home in embarrassment and he instead died of hyperthermia since he was drunk underage and probably didnt know how to handle himself too well from the inexperience. however i also believe the case was quickly rushed close because the child's death wasnt intentional by his attackers and the attackers belong to a high standing family in the town. instead of hating the possible attackers i feel lots of anger toward the mother. she knew her son, underage, was drunk at night walking down the side of the road to a gas station of all places. knowing this, when her son called for a 2nd time in distress, she decides to just say "i'll be there in a minute" and he hangs up the phone. yea, she should've told her son to STAY on the phone. personally i wouldve told my son to do that the first time he called simply because he is a minor who is drunk and going to be walking down a used road at fucking night time. like come the fuck on.
