Hi Guys!!! My favorite bit kit at the moment is the Milwaukee 106-piece kit. It has "Wear Guard Tip" technology and a high number of various bits including metric hex bits. The nut drivers and 3/8 adapter are full shank so they don't require a magnetic sleeve for impact attachment. It doesn't have a sliding magnetic sleeve attachment, but I bought the Milwaukee one that Vince mentioned in a previous video (Thanks for that video Vince!). Luckily, the 106-piece kit has room for a few extra bits such as this sliding sleeve. On the Milwaukee 45-piece and 75-piece kits, I don't like the nut drivers & 3/8 adapters with short shanks, which require a magnetic sleeve all the time on an impact. Also, I don't like the Shockwave plastic boxes holding the Milwaukee bits. They don't have a clear lid. They don't snap together like DeWalt boxes. And, they are the HARDEST boxes to remove bits from! Milwaukee definitely needs to fix that. DeWalt has the better boxes for bits. Hey, does anybody know if the yellow DeWalt MaxFit Magnetic Bit Holder works with 2" Milwaukee bits? Thanks for this video Vince/Nick! After last night's TTR with the Kobalt Hackzall, it was definitely a Frustrating Friday, but today will be a Sensational Saturday! God Bless the VCG gang and God Bless America!!! :-)

About the Milwaukee 75 pc kit w/ the accessories. I work in a category you probably haven't heard of as an industrial instrument and control tech. I work on the stuff that controls manufacturing equipment in many industries. The amount and type of different fasteners I need in one day may surprise you. Although I typically only use a variable torque driver, and in some cases will shove these bits into a handheld screwdriver, so don't need the impact ratings most of the time, I do need the variety. In just a couple of hours removing covers I may use torx of different sizes, phillips of various sizes, nut drivers, and allen bits. For terminals inside the equipment I may need either straight or phillips (smaller sizes). Most of the mounting hardware when replacing something is 1/2 or 9/16 nuts or bolts, or self tapping screws from 3/8 to 1/2 where I may need an impact. I've run across screws on rain covers that are 20 years old and somewhat rusted to the threaded hole. Then I have to break out the impact to get them loose sometimes, as I may not be allowed to use anything to free them up because it's an explosion proof area, and I can't use something that throws off a lot of fumes. For me, the variety in that kit is priceless. Especially when going up on the top of something like a 60 ft tank w/o knowing what I'm going to run into until I get up there.

I've have and have used all these branded bits and cases and found that they all work adequely. I do have to say though that the Milwaukee bit case bit retention system Sucks imo! It is so hard to get bits in and out of those red cases. I actually got so annoyed with the Milwaukee case that I chucked it in the trash and put the bits in another old case I had. Milwaukee needs to redesign their case imo. I've have and use bits and bit cases from Irwin, Bosch, Dewalt, Kolbalt, Masterforce, Ryobi, Black&Decker, Montana, and Milwaukee. And by far the Milwaukee case is the worst!

VCG Construction I agree. I will have to wait till my next Milwaukee kit as none of my Milwaukee bits fit very well In the included magnetic drive which...I mean if it’s hard to get in & out of your own adapters then....but much to my surprise they fit fine in dewalt sleeve perfectly too so I guess it’s just a combination of the hex shank and the inside of Milwaukee Adapters and sleeves
@Fee.14 жыл бұрын
VCG Construction tweeting you a photo too because wondering if the Milwaukee 50x life vs 30x life is just marketing and they changed how they tested because that kit with the wire strippers...those had the silver tips for a while but still said 30x.

Fee I also find the Milwaukee case design for holding the bits is a huge flaw. It’s either impossible to get out or impossible to get in the case.
@Fee.14 жыл бұрын
Luis Crespo yea that was a pain but I don’t necessarily find them that much different than other brands in that regard. I was kinda shocked at how the nut drivers were the cheap kind and the fit was “crusty” on all the bits though The standalone 3 pack of actual square drive and nut drivers were much better though.
