Currently I’m on day 3 of a cold I caught and I feel a million times better 3 days in using your recs than I would have if I just fought this on my own or using stuff I *thought* would help, but never has. Thank you my guy 🙏

Ulcer relief is causing acid problems, acid relief is causing b vitamin problems, b vitamin deficiency is causing ulcers. I strongly recommend a restricted diet until your digestive tract is healed. Over time digestive tract issues can also cause histamine sensitivity and allergies. Anti-histamines are often also anticholinergics, which have a significant effect on the digestive tract. Basically putting yourself in a downward cycle of symptom relief.

Regarding cuts and sores in your mouth: my dentist recommended me to switch to a toothpaste without sodium lauryl or laureth sulphates, as it can weaken the mucus lining in your mouth for people particularly sensitive to that. Made that switch a few years ago (Hello is the brand I like, because they still have fluoride which is extremely safe and effective), and apart from the occasional cheek bite, or one time when I had a particularly nasty cold, I haven't had any mouth sores since. Stayed at a friend's place across country and used their Crest or Colgate for the week, and had a sore the next week, I really think those particular chemicals (which are foaming agents if I recall) really do a number on me. I'd love to see some literature on that, but... Yeah! Get some SLS-free toothpaste and see if that helps!

When I was in high school we had a class called “personal health” and one of the units in this class was shopping and budgeting. The first thing we were taught was how to look for unit prices on the price tags in the stores, and how to calculate it if it wasn’t listed. It’s something I do almost every day and a lot of times I take that for granted. I forget that it’s not something that a lot of people do anymore. I see the scams in the bulk packs from a mile away. Makes you shake your head and wonder “who’s buying this?”.

Could you please tell us the difference between acetaminophen, aspirin, and ibuprofen?
@jordynozymandias3743 ай бұрын
This is a great question and I am not an expert so take my explanation with a grain of salt, but I believe it's important to educate people on the distinctions. All three of these are different chemicals that act to reduce inflammation in the body. Ibuprofen and aspirin are considered NSAIDs while acetaminophen has a sort of unique mechanism. NSAID stands for Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and contrasts the classic steroid anti inflammatory drugs. Aspirin is also a salicylate, a family of related chemicals that are anti inflammatory. Imo ibuprofen and acetaminophen have comparable pain killing effects and both are effective for fever. Aspirin is not nearly as good for pain. My doctor was kind of shocked when I told her I had tried it for my back pain and I don't think it helps. I also find personally salicylates to be rough on the stomach. It's also very important that people know what's safe to combine. Acetaminophen is safe to take with ibuprofen and aspirin as well as other NSAIDs (naproxen, meloxicam, etc) and salicylates (methyl salicylate, magnesium salicylate, etc). However, you should never combine NSAIDs with other NSAIDs or salicylates and never combine salicylates with other salicylates. Also be careful about taking combo medications because many contain these drugs and there's a risk of overdosing or taking a bad combination if you're not reading labels. Of course you should be reading labels and keeping track of what you take and how much of it but accidents happen and some people are just not aware of the risk. Again I am not any kind of expert and this is a very bare bones explanation of these medicines but I hope I was able to shed some light on the subject.
