@jirkazalabak15143 жыл бұрын
@@lukaskovac6778 The building system is not that difficult, it´s just unbalanced, especially for the Romans. The positive effects of high level buildings are usually not good enough to compensate for the downsides. In most provinces, you are unable to build max levels of buildings, because it would either make them unhappy, starve them, or cost way too much gold to maintain. On the other hand, it really makes it feel rewarding to finally get that max level palace or barracks, because you have to actually plan your entire province around it. Also, the battles in Attila, at least the open battles, are truly amazing. I like games focused on cavalry, and boy does Attila deliver.

One of the main things that a lot of total war players forget about is the epicness of the history surrounding the game. Shogun 2 is also my favorite total war game. And possibly my favorite game of all time for all of the reasons he stated, but also how badass the history of Japan is. People don’t talk about the Bushido war, or the Sengoku Jida at all. It seems like an epic thing lost to history, and now all that japan is known for it anime and WW2 war crimes. Another thing about it is the art style. Idk but the Japanese and Chinese art style just has something so amazing about it. It just gives me a sense of satisfaction. I wish there were more games about the Sengoku Jida or the Mongolian invasion and other things like that.

Guess what? that 200 horsemen wiped out all the French trying to climb up hill in one charge and demolish the other 1200 French at the bottom, the French formation was in absolute chaos, their general died in the stampede and his army broken right after. The cavs just keep ride on and wipe out all survivors. After that, I built all my armies with nothing but cavs and dominate half of Europe until they start sending pikes and elephants. Good damn time.

Not complex in a sense that it overwhelms you, just tedious in that in asks for 50 things to be done (also my complaint with Medieval 2 and bloody merchants and princesses and agents and holy fucking hell, let me just play the game). Napoleonic area of history is my favorite. Gun units in line formations, brutality on battlefields, amazing looking uniforms. I love that period. But all TW games set in it have been dreadful. The most amusing thing about Empire, and Empire II (*If it ever comes out), is that it is most possibly one of the least fantasy-adaptable out of all of the time periods Total War once and will cover (along with Napoleon). If there was going to be an Empire II, it'll possibly be a very bad kick to the nuts for Warhammer-fantasy fans (for 18th century line infantry combat like the old Empire), a very bad kick to the nuts to historical fans (if CA ever decides to go for steampunk Victorian for Empire II), or an actual decent game that appeases both sides (when it come to realistic gunpowder units and mixing them with Medieval-influenced melee units that might as well also appease melee/fantasy fans, basically an Empire II in the 16th or 17th century is what I'm trying to say).

Idk I liked medieval more than shogun the dlcs such as the Viking conquest of the British isles made it have wayyyyy more replayability in my opinion tho my number one total war game is probably Rome 1 too many hours spent in it and multiplayer clan wars were amazing tho I do not like how after medieval 2 faction variety and unit variety was nonexistent until Warhammer sure Rome 2 and Atilla gave it a fair shot but every faction in a given culture was practically an exact copy , Warhammer brought a good change back to the direction of better faction variety and finally adding more game mechanics instead of removing them like Rome 2 empire and many more did, the campaigns lost that “grand” feeling to them when everything was easy to manage and simple as hell like Rome 2 , tho thrones of brittania was sadly boring and forgetful like empire, now we can hope that three kingdoms isn’t as much of a clusterfuck tho I would prefer more historical titles and for CA to not become like paradox and make shit like “blood dlc” in a historical title games are now released in a horrible state like Warhammer 1 which only had 4 races to play with? 4 campaigns until a new dlc was added and this constant paywalling everything has just made the experience worse in general.

I would love to see a Total War: America’s. One where it focused on the amazing cultures that have lived and ruled there. Aztecs, Mayans, Incas, etc. could even have Indian tribes too. I just think the graphics would look amazing in a central/South American landscape. The jungle in the intro movie on warhammer 2 made me think of it haha

Could be like the Total Warhammer campaign. Everyone's happily fighting lots of wars with roughly balanced armies, then suddenly an OP force bent on wiping out everyone rocks up.

Shogun 2 was the reason I built my computer my freshman year of high school. It will always be my favorite total war game and I will continue to play it even as grow old and weary! I have close to 3,000 hours and hope CA create another masterpiece such as this one!

I just can't play Shogun 2. I don't know what it is about it, but I find the entire experience terrible. The battles are fun, I love the setting and atmosphere, but there is something that completely ruins it for me. It might be the general clunkyness of large scale battles, especially with fall of the Samurai. Battling two armies, one made up of mostly melee units and one mostly gunpowder units, simply doesn't work for me.

Mines would be 1: Empire (Although I've been playing shogun and its really close) 2:Shogun 2 3 Napoleon I don't like warhammer and I don't have rome, medieval is OK IMO just a tad old. If you couldn't tell I'm really into gunpowder warfare and shogun 2 is really helping me understand the greatness of medieval warfare with melee and bows and not muskets and cannon.

Just bought this instead of the new three kingdoms, fingers crossed I’ve gone against my grain and not just bought the ‘newest one’ lol! Love it cheers geez! 😍
I am currently planning Rome 2 but I started my total war carrier with shogun 2 thanks to your faction overview videos (thanks a lot by the way) and I agree that shogun 2 is the best game and the more character driven one this along with with the short time frame 60 years makes a lot more personal by the way have you played the last roman dlc for attila total war? If so what are your thoughts on this one?

My list: No 1: warhammer 2 - play differnt race= diff game No 2: shogun 1 - most hours played No 3: Napoleon- introduced morale and great infantry/artiillery/cavalry balance No 4: Rome- best charges No 5: Medieval 2 - crusades

Hopefully Three Kingdoms can top them all considering it now has a revamped diplomacy system (provided it actually works), the music is REALLY good and also the art. Add on the fact that we have unique leaders and heroes (like Warhammer) and two modes - Romance and Classic - I sure hope TKTW will be the BEST Total War to come out. Edit: Don't forget the fact we have population back and a supply feature.

I'm a fan of Empire and Attila.

Empire shined with its grand campaign. Managing colonies, teching more than one thing at once, trade and commodities values based on supply and demand....With the Darthmod it's great.
Prins van Oranje And something else...very objective point dude.

I preferred Napoleon over most Total War games mostly because the slow pace forces you to plan your moves in advance and penalizing last minute decisions, which is fun imo

Warhammer destroyed the franchise for me. Those games are so good that I can't get back into the historical titles (and that's coming from a historian).
0:34 There’s a joke here somewhere... The irony of fearing death threats when talking about Total War... It’s not the “Reasonable Amount of War”-series...

I played Shogun 1, Rome and Napoleon. I have to say Shogun 1 had the battles that were the most fun and that were the most brutal of the three games.

I grew up since medieval 1, spent most of my high school time and nostalgia on Rome, Medieval. Ruined my college years on Empire! (most massive scale campaign), then try Napoleon bit without sucked into. Years have passed, Im looking for a game to play and found the recent steam's giveaway, I then tried Shogun 2 for the first time, and damn! hell break loose. Turned me from a person who dont know who the F Oda Nobunaga is, into a total samurai warfare+ jidaigeki maniac. Spent 1000 hours eversince and tried all the DLC, mods, all the clan. I even listen to japanese history audiobook in background while playing Shogun 2. I'd say Medieval 2 is my personal best TW, but Shogun's is an anomaly. Idk why but somehow its brutally addicting.
