Great video. I like #3 and#5. I'm on a budget so I like the budget builds that have attention to detail but can appreciate the high dollar builds as well. I think if your on a budget and you want a mono shock and invertered front forks you should get a early 2000 gixxer or zx9 make a street fighter and have 140hp to boot. But if we all thought the same way he world would be very boring. Lol

It's a good thought to work on those. I agree with you, parts are so expensive.

To me any cafe style bike,brat,or scrambler.Has everything to do with the art,of different design solutions.Some bike builds have one or two, some have many ( such as Zero design). I love it best when ,a bike is built ,with ingenuity and a different perspective of the original idea. Genius to me is the,least amount of cash spent,with the most about of original design solutions. Great video!

Hi. I am going to start a cafe racer project. I am using a cb250. It's my first project so still very much learning. I have to looking for parts. I would like to you a fibreglass cowl so I can hide my battery and electrics. When I try to fide a fibreglass cowl. I seem to find fibreglass cowls but then have trouble finding the seat to go on. Most people only sell the fibreglass part. Where can I find the leather seat part for them? Thanks so much for your channel absolutely love it. Thanks heaps. Cheers from Australia!!

Don't forget the Guzzi tranverse V Twin motor for the butch look, and aircooled too, true, the liquid cooled duke motor is a bit messy, I made mine look more presentable (in my opinion of course LOL) by using slip on braided hose over the rubber tubes, got that stuff from Demon Tweeks-not sure if they still do it though, that was some time back when I had the first Monster with the 916 motor.
@forthebold7 жыл бұрын
+Jaques Daniels beautiful engines the guzzi transverse ones
@padrescout6 жыл бұрын
MotoGuzzi do not use a transverse engine mount. That's Harley Davidson. Transverse means the crank is perpendicular to the vehicle. Guzzi's crank faces rearwards to tail of bike which is ... longitudinal mount.

I was wondering whether you had any idea about where I could buy a Honda CB350 - 400 for around £800, as you mentioned you got yours for (I think), as I'm keen on building a cafe racer but also have a relatively tight budget ( I'm earning money for specific parts as I need them). Keep up the great videos, brilliant quality and interesting to watch!

Probably really stupid question, Id love to start doing my own build but I have so many questions and lack of mechanic skills to even think about it. Like, I love the monoshock on the cx 500, but how do I know where to put it, where do I learn these kind of things on my own? I think everytime I would encounter such a problem Id be demotivated. Great bikes btw, nice video
@forthebold7 жыл бұрын
For mechanical knowledge & skill, just learn along the way. It's the best way, plenty of tutorials out there. Or enrol on a short course? For the shocks, a bit more skill needed. If you have an engineer friend or advice from someone that's the best way to learn.
@rehtsya7 жыл бұрын
Good advice. Another put back is that I look at the market for old bikes like SRs Cbs, hell, even CXs and they are all 3k+ here in Germany atleast. Seems like people are taking advantage of this. I'll keep browsing everyday =D I will start though

Hey bro what is the difference between a scrambler and a flat tracker... Plz guide
@forthebold6 жыл бұрын
A tracker to me is a dirt bike to go fast on the dirt, like in loops, bit like grass track (not so much drifting) so it's about speed, scrambler is more for off roading so like forest trials where it's about slow speed and grip.

Awesome picks mate, got me really motivated to try a cafe racer build, but sadly here a decent donor bike costs a whole damn lot. on a different note how's the CX500 build going made any progress on deciding the front forks? and as always loved the content.
@forthebold7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah that's the issue is that donor bikes cost so much. On the CX500 I've ordered the bits needed for the rear so I'll carry on with that. Still looking for front forks.
@pedrusniloyrozario65647 жыл бұрын
For The Bold - dreegez Just a thought maybe the red forks from the CX500 in you video might go well with your CX500? unless the red forks would steal the attention from the red frame. maybe consider it looked really cool in the video.

The nr5 is way more gorgeous then the fugly Panigale :P I mean look at how far back the backwheel is on Ducatis and the panigale. Looks more like a cruiser and not a sport bike where it should be more compact. So what I mean is that the nr5 bike the cafe panigale bike is superb compared to the stealthbomber wannabee. Thank God for the 916 styled and old monster Ducatis :D

I like your choice's, but my top 5 are different, and tomorrow they will be different again. I like the fact you differenciate between the styles, for some reason I've got a bug up my arse about people not knowing what they've built. It seems like anything and everything that's been dropped, and had the fairing removed is a "Café Racer " or a "Streetfighter" and we'll let's face it, it's just not, it needs just a lot more effort to make it look the part.
@forthebold6 жыл бұрын
Yes the most common I get annoyed with is scrambler and brat getting confused, then there's tracker to add into the confusion.

I think they were originally made for racing, for a few short miles, with the lightest materials, and since then the look caught on from there, where the visual weight is in the middle of the bike.
