@@plamenpetrov8074 Several years ago (2009) I remember test driving a 1993 es 300 with 235000 miles on it, the used car lot wanted $1,999 for it, so I test drove it for kicks. The car needed some work, especially in the suspension, and some cosmetic work, but the engine felt almost immaculate, as though it could have easily gone another 300000 miles. Almost that same day, I test drove a 1997 Lexus es 300 with about 118 k on the odometer from a Lexus dealership, and at the time, they wanted $6,995 for it. The car not only looked brand new (inside and out), but it drove better than a new car. Unfortunately, that year I decided to buy a brand new Corolla (still flawless), but not nearly as powerful as the 3.0 V6 in the 1997 Lexus. Eventually, will keep the Corolla as a daily and will pick up a LS 460 (2010-2015) or get a low mileage SC 400 from around 1997, with the latter being more sought after as a collectible.

Neve get a car with turbo or the trashy CVT transmission. All those new Hondas and Toyotas are loosing their reputation for being reliable means of transportation. They are using consumers as test puppets trying their new technology. They need to reproduce the older models like the Honda's 2.4 and Camry's 2.2. Add to this great line up the Corolla's 1.8 and the Lexus's ES 330 or 350. Toyota is my choice just because of one factor and that is the timing chain vs. Rubber belt. As fas as Subaru do a research about the quality of their gaskets throughout the poweplant. The 2.5 non-turbo engine is a good one. Had personal long term experience with all of the above-mentioned vehicles. Final pick is Toyota for sure but the older models. Again do a research to find which years have best rating or least issues and complaints when you are shopping to buy one. Example: 2017 and 2018 RAV 4 were excellent especially if you get or find one made in it's homeland Japan.
