I’m here in Louisiana learning so much about back pain. I have moderate L-5/S-1 bulging disc. You have taught me so much of which not much was explained to me. I’m still employed in therapy for over 15 years. I know the ends and out but to hear you specializing in the back wolrd explains much more. I’ve had injections that didn’t help much due to me still working on the floor only part time. As you have mentioned about after 2 hours or less standing you can feel the pressure central of the lower back. Which makes me wanna hurry to sit. I wanna thank you so much for all what you share to help us keep our body mechanics in check.😊 I can truly avoid surgery at this point knowing that simple exercises can help me get through this pain. Much love ❤️ from Louisiana

Thanks a lot, this video helped me to ease my back. I do these exercises every morning. I am 40, triathlete, not overweight, swim often and eat healthy but I guess DDD can happen to anyone. I intend to build my core muscle even more to continue doing the sport I love. Good luck to all of you in your mission to a better back and healthy life

Thanks for all your videos explaining exercises so clearly to help cope with spinal stenosis and DDD. I have tried all your suggestions daily for 2 months. Starting my third month 😊 The benefit is amazing. My scoliosis from DDD is less prominent. Walking now is easier. I've been able to put my rollator in a corner. Going to try and cut back on pian meds after speaking to my Doc next week. I feel very blessed having found you on Y Tube 😊 THANK YOU

Thank you for posting these exercises! I needed modified exercises because of my knees. I have degenerated discs in L4&L5 and T12&T13. I also have arthritis in both hips. I have a difficult time getting up in the morning because of pain. It takes me a couple hours, literally to be able to walk. I'm going to do these with hopes of strengthening my back so I can move better in the morning. 😊

I have torn hip labrum and this in my lower back, plus hip bursitis in same bad hip. I hurt every day. Just had hip injection and it made my lower back areas that i issues with flare up with sharp pains. Frustrated because my workouts involve weights and i stopped exercising because i hurt.
@sharonvaldez90597 ай бұрын
I have the same issues, including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. My pain mgmt doc told me I had a (left) torn hip labrum, but it doesn’t show up on an MRI…so then he says I don’t 🥺 I haven’t been able to work (desk job 8 hr days) for a year and a half. I’m 50 now. The tailbone and sacrum pain was soooooo bad. Cushions, pillows, working from my bed when approved for telework, PT, ablations, exray guided injections-absolutely nothing has helped make the pain go away. The pain went up over my left hip and deeeep into my groin, and down the inside back of my leg. I still have it, but since not working it has gotten some relief. My anxiety was and still is thru the roof. Brain fog, forgetting how to do things, just complete mental, physical, and emotional overload…overload just doesn’t quite describe it. I’m scheduled for an Intracept inj for my lower lumbar, and hopefully it will go down far enough to help my sacrum, tailbone and coccyx. I was diagnosed with coccydenia. I also found out I have a cyst on my S3, but can’t be removed because it’s in the bone. Was told it isn’t the cause of my pain. Please let me know if you experienced any of the things I described on my labrum. I forgot to mention the bursitis in my left that swells like a whoopy cushion. Only realize it when I turn to lay on my left side….its down right maddening. I just cry out of hopelessness. The weather changing in TX just torments my body and mind. Prayers for you with your journey.

Ugh I was diagnosed years ago & Dr's have not been helpful at all. I also have scoliosis in my lower back, not the typical upper back. Will these still be safe for me to do? It hurts my lower back terribly to even lean forward to brush my teeth. It gets excruciating but I "look normal" so people always think I'm lying & that's so frustrating. Thank you so much for this video. You, sir, are my hero today! Oh, is this the cause of my sciatica?

Hey Forgiven and Blessed, we're so happy to be your hero today!!! ❤️ Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting help. These exercises are safe to do for people with degenerative disc disease and scoliosis. They're focused on stability and strength in the common weak spots. These weaknesses usually set up sciatica as well :-( So hopefully you can knock out 2 birds with 1 stone! Please let us know how it goes with doing these exercises!

I feel sorry for you! I’ve had DDD from neck down. I’ve had an intrathecal pain pump for 18 years and it’s helped instead of taking oral medication. I’ve done planks, sit ups and basically I’m not “ripped” but for 67 I’m in fair shape. I’ve got Adult Scoliosis and my back looks like a S , it’s over 20 degrees and I’ve had braces which helped but nothing even a RF for some Lumber but it’s probably grown back. I’ve searched the internet and found nothing. I feel bad for you. Stay active, core exercises and whatever you can do for yourself!!

HOW DO I GET THE 28 DAYS EXERCISE
@ХалиматЯмадаева283 жыл бұрын
I hear all kinds of clicking in my spine and my doctor never tells me what it is. I do my exercises every single day and it never helps and I hear that click so much while I do them. I have this image of bones together when I hear it , it’s awful. Do you what could make a noise in your spine when you have degenerative disk disease ? I pray it will get bad enough to get surgery soon , I’m already at the severe stage with how slow doctors are in my country I should be good to go for surgery before I see a specialist in many years 😌😑

I’ve had DDD from neck down to SI for over 18 years and now it’s become Adult Scoliosis. I’ve done all the core exercises and even braces but it’s still getting worse. I had RF 18 years ago but Stenosis is just getting worse. I’m at my wits end. I’m not ripped but I’m not “out of shape” either. I can’t find anything about Adult Scoliosis which I believe my wife is beginning to experience. Any videos on to deal with this???

I fell from my road bike few times the reason my lumbar 4 & 5 was injured. Would the use of bike trainer and stationary bike at home help? Would you please help provide applicable exercises to rehabilitate my back. I can't settle to operation as i experience prob with general anaesthesia when i was operated in my knee. Please help Doc. Am Pilipino, 62 yrs old and I can still work to live better. Thank you
@epmanualphysicaltherapy3 жыл бұрын
Hey Raul Ilagan! Sorry to hear about your L4 & L5 injury from the bike falls :-( Using a stationary bike or bike trainer may help slightly for this type of back injury. But the most common problems that arise after bike accidents with back pain are weaknesses in the abdominals and glutes. Strengthening those muscle groups is usually the most important thing to be doing. Cycling is more endurance training that it is strengthening, so it's not the best thing to do to work on fixing a back problem. Have you seen these videos? 80% of the comments I read from KZbin to Facebook people who went to Physical Therapy do not help them at all with DDD problems at all!
@epmanualphysicaltherapy5 ай бұрын
Hey CT, general physical therapy may not be able to help with these problems because people are commonly performing the wrong exercises or performing the "correct" exercises while using the wrong muscles. DDD can definitely be helped, but there are very specific exercises that need to be performed in a specific way to make sure that we stop causing damages. We have a lot of material that can help with this if you are interested in learning more.
