@orrel314 жыл бұрын
@@FM-kc7nx Because black is threatening to give a check with the knight and win the queen wherever the king goes. And if the queen stops guarding the b3 square there is Nb3#. And if the quenn moves away but keeps the b3 square guarded black wins the queen anyways or gives checkmate in 3-6 moves. There are a few variations that's why I can't list them all.

@@aaronvandrei3052 I’m not super good at chess but from what I can tell at a grandmasters level of play there comes a point both players realize what is going to happen within the next few turns, and instead of playing it out the player who will inevitably lose surrenders, I’m guessing it just seems pointless when you know you’re beaten, there’s always the chance an opponent might make a mistake but at that level of play it’s highly unlikely.

Most of the dudes in the comments wanted an actual checkmate. 🤣 Im sure yall already know that in high lvl gameplay, players resign moves before the checkmate 1) for time sake, 2) no need to waste efforts avoiding the inevitable, 3) they see that far ahead. 🤣

Still a bad video. There is no explanation or anything to tell us what happened. I understand that these players see it. BUT WE DON'T
@nathanmurphy4374Ай бұрын
@milankipferler5929 on the one hand, sure the video could use better explanation especially for newer players, but on the other hand, if you're an experienced player you should see why players agreed to draw or resign. If you're a newer player, you should reflect on the game and try to solve the positions yourself to improve.

If they can memorize every game in their head, why do they need to write moves down? Is it just to be sage? ^^
@higheloirl3 жыл бұрын
Well there are a lot of reasons for writing down moves, yes they can actually forget where the piece was few moves back and when they calculate, they need to know the whole process whether it's theory or mid-end game. Another reason is to avoid cheating/illegal moves. It is also ( I think ) mandatory to record the moves ( Fide 8.1.1 )

Like, is it customary in chess to tell your opponent where the mistake was made if they ask? I don’t understand what the talking is afterwards. Just good sportsmanship? Help me understand. I understand good sportsmanship but I’m not going to give away any secrets on what, how or why I did it. I’m going for the throat and walking away if there’s nothing else to be said except good game, if it was a good game. I figure the shaking of the hands afterwards is as far as good sportsmanship goes. So assuming it’s nothing more than talk about the match. Right?
@Valencesor2 жыл бұрын
I think it's best to look at chess as two scientists trying to figure out the best way to play the game out. These guys study the games anyway and likely will find it so I doubt it's giving much away.
@kenkaniff61422 жыл бұрын
@@Valencesor true that. I’m just a novice that likes to play. So me and friends will talk afterwards about certain moves. Perhaps it’s the same banter. Figured at that level they wouldn’t. Just curious is all.
