that last case reminds me of marvel's The Punisher. Frank Castle was a man who's family was murdered by a gang shoot out in Central Park, he was a trained Marine and decided that those people didn't deserve to live anymore. in Daredevil season 2 its all about how his spree on criminals is viewed by the public, theres one scene when hes in court and its jury selection, and half of them are calling him evil, saying he deserves to die, and the other half are calling him a saviour and thanking him for "cleaning" the streets.
