We went to the old Town Square two days ago. We both loved it. We only bought a couple of things there, I love Nutcrackers and we got a new one. The prices were ok, but we picked up a couple of other items at a very small market near the Prague Marriott Hotel. We each got a new scarf, only paid 250 czech each. A similar scarf in Berlin was more than twice that much. We went to three major Christmas markets on this trip. The others were in Dresden and Berlin, they were nice, but Prague was the best!

I was in Prague in the Old Town Square last year in late December. It was beautifully decorated! Lots of lovers hugging, kissing and taking pictures. Very romantic! I also saw Krampus and one of his fellow monsters! I've missed Prague since the day I left.❤

Where are those times when hot wine was for 25 Kč. 😀 I find ridiculous that most of markets disaper at 23rd, so when you want some hot head or wine after christmas eve, you can't get it, which is stupid becuase people have mostly free time between christmas and new year, but I guess those sellers want their free time too.

Visited with family 4 of the 5 Christmas markets in 2 1/2 days last weekend (instead of nám. J. z Poděbrad we were in Václavské náměstí). We liked the markets on Náměstí Republiky and Náměstí Míru best (less food and drink, but more gifts and souvenirs.)

Hi, starting this year, there is a ban on fireworks in the Old Town + parts of New Town.. So no private fireworks are allowed, and there will be no fireworks show on the January 1st sadly.....
