Legit tips, man! Pricing is such a taboo subject so I'm glad someone is finally talking about it.

Good points about letting clients go, especially if you don't feel comfortable.
@SpectaclePhoto5 жыл бұрын
This is a huge learning curve for most and when you think about it very counter intuitive to our culture of the "customers always right". If a client is a bad fit for your business it will cost you money and you will not grow if you change your business to match a single client.

What is a good price point to charge for a 1 hour session with good equipment?
@SpectaclePhoto5 жыл бұрын
Short answer: for a hour headshot session I charge $200 and give the client 2 retouched high resolution images with reproduction rights. For other sessions I never schedule a hour session because it's just not enough time to get your clients in the groove. For those creative sessions I charge $375 and it includes 3 retouched images and they can purchase additional images after the shoot for $79 each. Please keep in mind that your gear doesn't matter to most clients so it shouldn't even be mentioned. Gear is technical and photography is emotional. Keep your clients on the emotional side and you will be able to charge way more.
