@urbanis evolution - Yes I've noticed this as well. My brother and I both have this where the right foot tends to turn out. I wasn't aware of this until a few years ago. Through my research and what I've been told it is caused by a mixture of things. 1 tightness in the hips or certain muscles can cause the foot to to rotate, also bad habits in how we walk or run, usually starting from an early age and then also just genetics, if you notice your parents or family members have this same deal where the foot turns out. What I have began to do now that I am aware of this. I focus and dedicate time to foam roll the hips and leg muscles to release any tightness, train mobility squats with good alignment (when doing this make sure not to just point the toe straight, this can cause knee issues make sure to rotate from the inner thighs and hip area to get the toe to the straight position). At first when I noticed this with my foot I contstantly tried to land with good foot alignment but started to feel knee pain due to improper knee alignment because of the foot correction. So now I really make sure to have my knees aligned well and not worry about the foot as much during my parkour but on my slow low impact training I work on the mobility squats making sure to really rotate from the inner thighs to help correct this foot allignment. Hope this helps and train safe ;)

1 beginner trick is running with your teeth against a wall 10 times a day. It strengthens your teeth for parcour. Begginer's should start with 5 times a day.

TappBrothers I started parkour a little more seriously like 4 months ago but my legs just hurt so much 1 month after i started training is it normal or do i have a bone problem? should i continue, or stop doing parkour?
@TappBrothers
@TappBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
Hey Claudio Cunha When training parkour you should not feel a lot of pain. I'm not sure how you are currently training right now or the exercises you are performing? And specifically where the pain is felt in your legs? But It could be from the muscles being overworked, poor technique, nutrition, or the muscles being sore to the new training but definitely a lot of pain should not be felt. When we first start it is important to condition the body and legs with bodyweight exercises and drilling the parkour basic moves in a low to ground environment. It is ok for the muscles to feel sore and this is normal due to our bodies performing new movements and exercises. If you are taking high drops or heavy impacts I would pull back and dial down the heavy impact training. Work on the low impact drops until the legs develop the strength over time. Drill the technique in a low to ground setting until it is perfected. Also, if you are not doing so already, make sure after heavy training days, give your muscles and body a rest to rebuild and recuperate. So if you are experiencing a lot of pain, I would definitely rest up, and if it persists visit your doctor. Train safe! - Thomas

TappBrothers Sry for my bad english im portuguese but i think its called shins the under knee part of the legs not the ankles and sometimes its my knees Im 13 years old i weight 56 kg, i only practiced i little bit of karate and thats the only sport ive ever did Hope its normal i love parkour, i train everyday, maybe someday be like you My hair is just like you so im 1 step closer lol Keep making videos i watch you guys since i was like 10 or 9 You are an inspiration! Keep doing the good work, maybe someday parkour will be a recognized sport! ;)

What you described sounds like shin splints, and can be common when we train front flips and impacts on the legs. I would say to really focus on your jumping technique (make sure your legs and hips have good alignment and absorb the impact properly) Make sure not to over train drops or jumps, then also make sure to warm up and stretch every training session. When you start to feel this pain, give the legs a rest and massage the shin muscle, calf muscles and the thigh as well to help release any tightness. Karate is a great sport, it's good to have as a foundation for parkour. Thats awesome to hear we have inspired you! Yes the hair style is key for expert training ha No worries about the english, I have trouble with it to at time and that's the only language I can speak ha
